Description

A. Ultrabooks are laptop computers designed to be as thin and light as possible. Most of them achieve this by minimizing the number of ports and drives they offer – for example, by not including a DVD drive. Ultrabook laptops usually feature a CPU that’s a smaller version of an older processor, so while current ultrabooks can’t keep up with the speeds of full-fledged cutting-edge laptops, they’re still quite fast, and entirely suitable for everyday use. Dell has always had fantastic laptops in its lineup as long as you knew where to look, and this compact workhorse is no exception. Display: 14” IPS | Screen Resolution: FullHD (1920 x 1080) | CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (Max-Q) | RAM: 16 GB | Storage: 1 TB SSD | Battery Life: Up to 12 hours | Weight: 3.8 lbs / 1.7 kg

The internal specs on the Alienware x15 are really good. You get an i7-11800H, which is an 8-core, 4.6 GHz CPU and a lot of power for a gaming laptop. This particular model has the RTX 3070 equipped, but there are 3060 and 3080 models available too. There are three major players when it comes to the software (operating system) your computer runs on. Find out more in our guide to Chromebook vs MacBook vs Windows laptops, or look at our brief summaries below. A Windows 11 laptop is best if… It’s also got a quad-core processor, which is a higher level of processing power than you often see in Chromebooks, which makes it more suitable for multitasking. The 4 GB of RAM holds its own as well. It’s still not a ton of power, so if you’re a student in a creative field, especially one that involves animation or frequent video editing, you’ll probably need to use the school computers.

It’s a beautiful machine, slim and portable, and the Dreamy White has a pearlescent color that our photos don’t do justice. This is an average laptop that won’t break the bank, but you’ll feel great about carrying around. However, the mix of portability and power is going to make it an excellent choice if you’re a student or a content creator who does a lot of work on the side. If you do some gaming as well, more power to you. The addition of the dedicated graphics card makes that more feasible. At about 3.25 pounds and 12.8” x 8.6” x 0.7”, it’s extremely portable if a bit heavier than comparable laptops. There hasn’t been a lot of thought put into construction or style, but you could reasonably expect those to be a lower priority in a budget laptop. Another ASUS, with much of the same to be said for it. It compromises a little on construction and lags a tiny bit behind its counterparts from Alienware or Razer–not in the raw performance, but in other areas that we will discuss. Overall, this is going to be your best bet if you need a laptop for a wide range of tasks and don’t want to discover down the line that it’s slow or can’t do some of them. Students and creative professionals are going to get great use of this one as well, but if you’re a student worried about the price tag, or a content creator who needs a bit more power or a bigger display, we’ve got you covered later down the line.

The first is cooling. Like the Alienware entries, it has dual fans but unfortunately hasn’t left nearly as much area for ventilation or dissipation, so they have to work extra hard and are very loud. And even then, it can run extremely hot, to the point where you won’t be able to keep your hands on the keyboard, literally. Light gaming on it is fine, but playing demanding games on turbo mode will definitely overheat the laptop. If you know anything about gaming laptops, you probably know that thin usually means poor thermals. The x15 isn’t bad, but it definitely does a lot of noisy work trying to keep the laptop cool. If you’re not going to get a cooling pad, maybe even one with a fan, you’ll find the powerful components are being consistently throttled by the so-so thermals. Compatibility Of This SATELLITE L50 WHITE Laptop Battery This SATELLITE L50 WHITE Laptop Battery Compatible Follow Original Battery Number: But, with a combination of beautiful aesthetics, high performance, plenty of storage and RAM, lightweight design, and long battery life, the XPS 13 is one of the best white laptops available on the market in 2023.

Storage capacity determines how many things your PC can hold. Documents, photos, music, movies, programs – they all take up space. is the number of distinct tests we use to judge a laptop screen's brightness, colour accuracy, sharpness and reflections. These tests make up our laptop screen score - so you'll know that the higher the score, the better the screen. It also comes with an eight-core Ryzen 9 processor and 16 GB of RAM. Combine that with the video card, and you’re not really taking a hit on raw power. 24 GB and 40 GB RAM versions are also available. The processor alone is amazing and puts out a lot of power, making it also a great option for content creators and professionals. It’s also a little bit light on storage, with only a 256GB hard drive. That’s still going to be fine unless you do a lot of photo or video editing (another reason this probably isn’t a great choice for creative professionals). On the other hand, if you really need storage, the combination of this laptop and an external hard drive is still going to be less than anything that, again, isn’t a tablet.
