Description

About 200 years after the kingdom split, the northern tribes of Israel fell to Assyria and were deported by the Assyrians to the northern parts of their empire. Often referred to now as the lost tribes, they later migrated northwest across Europe, eventually settling in new homelands far from the Middle East. Judah" refers to the Jewish people, particularly those who now constitute the modern nation in the Middle East that calls itself Israel. The nature of prophecy is twofold: either inspired (by visions or revelatory auditions) or acquired (by learning certain techniques). In many cases both aspects are present. The goal of learning certain prophetic techniques is to reach an ecstatic state in which revelations can be received. That state might be reached through the use of music, dancing, drums, violent bodily movement, and self-laceration. The ecstatic prophet is regarded as being filled with the divine spirit, and in that state the deity speaks through him. Ecstatic oracles, therefore, are generally delivered by the prophet in the first-person singular pronoun and are spoken in a short, rhythmic style. The Frenchman may have been alluding to the growing gulf and animosity between social classes with his alarming words, ‘sooner and later you will see great changes made, dreadful horrors and vengeances’. Most people assume the Jewish people are the sole remaining descendants of the ancient nation of Israel. This assumption, however, is incorrect.

The name Ephraim is sometimes used representatively in Scripture for the entire northern kingdom, though it can also refer solely to the descendants of Joseph's son of that name—prophesied to become a "multitude of nations" (Genesis 48:19). Remarkably, this promise to Ephraim was fulfilled in the British Empire and Commonwealth. The School for Prophecy level one training course, Discovering Prophecy, helps you better understand the biblical gift of prophecy, hear more clearly from your heavenly Father for yourself and others and equip you to give and receive prophetic words using biblical principles. The Discovering Prophecy extended course sessions are designed for those who have already completed the standard course [or equivalent training and experience] and would like to study some more advanced subjects. It is also a helpful stepping-stone between the level one and level two courses. Promote Righteousness. Again, he said God said believers should pray that the queen would be bold to not give her consent for unrighteousness to engulf the land.

The kingdom of Judah fell to Babylon more than a century after Israel's deportation, but its people were not lost to history. We know them today as the Jews. Remember that Israel gave his name to Ephraim and Manasseh, the ancestors in turn of the British and American peoples. As Ephraim is mentioned separately in this prophecy, the reference to "Israel" must apply to the United States, which is now the more dominant of the two nations. In a revealing prophecy regarding the United States and Britain, Jacob (Israel) said, "Let my name be named upon them" (Genesis 48:16). References to "Israel" in end-time prophecy often refer to the United States or the English-speaking countries of the British Empire or both. Sometimes "Israel" can mean all 12 tribes. We have to look at specific verses in their context to see which is meant. (To investigate the biblical evidence of this, please read our free study aid, The United States and Britain in Bible Prophecy.)

Words that may be confused with prophecy

Here are similar themes that I see in messages by Jennifer LeClaire and Sadhu Sundar in this section, and the Prince Charles prophetic dream by “Live To Glorify” Ministry in SECTION 2).

prophecy, in religion, a divinely inspired revelation or interpretation. Although prophecy is perhaps most commonly associated with Judaism and Christianity, it is found throughout the religions of the world, both ancient and modern.Technically the Jews are descendants of two of the Israelite tribes: Judah and Benjamin, plus a considerable part of a third, the priestly tribe of Levi. Ephraim's older brother Manasseh was also prophesied to become a great nation (same verse), separating himself from the multitude of nations. This prophecy would be fulfilled in the formation, growth and dominance of the United States of America.

Judah," however, always refers to the Jews, the descendants of the house or kingdom of Judah. We must also understand that the modern nation called Israel is really Judah, made up of Jews (see sidebar " Are all Israelites Jews?").New moons occur a month apart. A new moon "devouring" them would seem to mean that Israel, Ephraim and Judah will all fall within one month. The functions of the prophet and priest occasionally overlap, for priests sometimes fulfill a prophetic function by uttering an oracle of a deity. Such an oracle often serves as part of a liturgy, as when ministers or priests in modern Christian churches read scriptural texts that begin with the proclamation “Thus says the Lord.” The priest, in this instance, fulfills the prophetic function of the cult. Not only do the roles of the prophet and priest overlap, but so do the roles of the prophet and shaman. A shaman seldom remembers the message he has delivered when possessed, whereas the prophet always remembers what has happened to him and what he “heard.” No matter how prolific a prophet is, he or she only sees, knows and prophesies in part. No matter how detailed and accurate a particular prophecy is, it really is only a part of the larger puzzle. This principle certainly applies to prophecies about the UK Royal Family. This three-part prophecy collection seeks to bring together different prophetic pieces of the puzzle that is the destiny of the British Monarchy. The Discovering Prophecy level one [1] extended course sessions will start on Tuesday, 30th January 2024 [Note 1], at Riverside Family Church, Southampton. They will run for three monthly Tuesday evenings, from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm [London, GMT], finishing in March 2024. The course will be led, hosted, and taught by the School for Prophecy's Team, headed up by Mark Iles. PLEASE REGISTER EARLY THERE ARE LIMITED PLACES AVAILABLE.
