About this deal

As well as being suitable for both solvent- and water-based fence paint, this sprayer can also be used to spray alcohol and other liquid disinfectants. It creates a fine mist which makes it suitable for spraying both light and heavier coverings of all the aforementioned liquids. To sum this up in terms of ease of use, the machine itself is pretty much a hairdryer that sprays out paint, it really is that simple. There are a few nozzle bore variations though, which is why I say this is a much better all rounder as you’ll be able to spray paint with this after, not just your fences and sheds – this is obviously just as useful on shed paint. Here’s a look at those variable nozzles: Best budget: VonHaus Electric Paint Sprayer for Fences– if you really need to save twenty quid take a look at the Vonhaus – and was better in terms of less overspray The Wagner W100 finishes nicer in my opinion. Here’s a look at that close up: Wagner W100 paint spraying on wall test – lays on pretty nice

Measuring 26.4 x 21 x 17.4 cm and weighing 1.46kg, it is one of the most compact and lightweight of all of our reviewed products here today and would be ideal for jobs where mobility and ease of movement is a priority. It also makes it a great tool for getting in those spaces that wouldn’t be possible with a larger, bulkier paint sprayer. Bear in mind we have a professional spray setup at the workshop though. So spraying fine atomised paint is a norm for me, I had to recalibrate my thought process – these sprayers are fifty quid! This is a high volume low pressure paint sprayer which means that there is less wasted paint and splatter, and also that less pollution going into the air, which is great but unfortunately the Meterk has a lower viscosity maximum than the other sprayers at only 60DIN/sec which means you are limited to what types of paints you can us, or you will have to heavily water them down and this will probably lead you to having to apply more coats to get the finish you are after. Comfort is important to bear in mind when it comes to DIY, especially seeing as certain jobs can take a long time. Best Paint Sprayer – Overall, the Teccpo Paint Sprayer represents the best paint sprayer gun available. This comes thanks to a wide number of settings to adjust flow rate and spray pattern, as well as a large volume paint reservoir and a powerful motors to ensure the paint is dispersed evenly. It’s not the cheapest, but it’s well worth the investment for the high quality and great functionality.

Frequently Asked Questions

The large 1200ml paint bottle capacity contributes to painting speed by reducing the need for frequent refills. Do you ever get bored with just using a paintbrush or a roller? DIY and decorating is a thoroughly satisfying task, especially when it’s finished, but it is fair to say that the act of painting can err towards the laborious instead of the fun. Obviously, a paint sprayer exists for more reasons than just making painting more fun because you can pretend to have a sci-fi gun, but it helps. Maybe. Specification: Power: 400W, Flow: 800 ml/min, Maximum viscosity: 70 DIN/s, Nozzle Sizes: 2 mm/2.5 mm/3 mm, Container capacity: 900ml Specification: Power: 400W, Flow: 800 ml/min, Maximum viscosity: 60 DIN/s, Nozzle Sizes: 1.3mm/1.8mm/2.6mm, Container capacity: 800 ml

With electric paint sprayers, the higher the number of watts that the electric motor is, the more raw power it has. 400 watts should be about the lowest you go with and if you are planning to do a big job, you really should be going a fair bit higher with something like 600W. Whilst able to be used with all the aforementioned paints, they may need to be thinned down more than they would with a more expensive model which can lead to another coat being required. And also that video reminded me of another good thing about this unit. With the motor being separate from the paint pot, there’s no weight pulling down as you tighten up and re-attach the pot to the sprayer, as a result, it doesn’t mis-thread which was a common problem on the other units I tested. Don’t take the smaller than Wagner the wrong way either. It’s easy to setup and well designed. This is probably a benefit to someone looking for as lightweight electric fence sprayer as possible but with a decent price point and performance. This thing will still sort out a long fence in a couple of hours and weighs less making it my second choice for best electric fence sprayer.

Specification: Power: 550W, Flow: 130-150 ml/min, Maximum viscosity: N/A, Nozzle Sizes: N/A, Container capacity: 800 ml They are all pretty good, it just so happens that the Wagner is warp speed compared to the other sprayers. Even laying on what you might call two coats takes less than a minute for a short fence panel with the Wagner. In case you didn’t watch the clip, here it is again: If you miss a patch on a wall or create drip marks with your paintbrush, you’ll probably notice it every single time you look at that wall, furniture or ceiling!

As is noticeable from the price, this VonHaus sprayer is more of a basic model, and therefore it doesn’t have as many adjustable settings as some of the pricier options. This essentially results in a machine that is well suited to larger-scale jobs (doors, fencing, etc.) but may not have the accuracy of more expensive models when it comes to precise tasks. The 400 W motor can spray at a rate of 700 ml per minute on its highest setting. Comparatively, getting through an equivalent amount of paint using a brush will take upwards of 40 minutes. This fact alone makes it clear that we’re talking about a very efficient machine. As for getting this thing working from the box, it’s a doddle. You need to clip on the trigger, screw on the pot (fill it with your fence stain first) and then plug and go. A word of caution wear a mask and do not set this thing to a very fine mist. The particles of creocote are seriously not good for your health if inhaled! After that, I take a look at the finish on walls and ceilings, using plasterboard as a guide so we can look really close up at the finish. From there, I have a go at revamping an old bit of furniture too. Kitchen cabinet paint sprayer tests As someone that uses spray systems professionally I can safely say on a budget the Wagner W 100 Electric Paint Sprayer is the best paint sprayer available in the UK. Unless you’re willing to change up to an air compressor and level up considerably this little sprayer will do you just fine. It’s the nicest looking unit of the budget sprayers too:It’s easy to see that some fence sprayers will need refilling more often than others. That said, refilling isn’t too time consuming and it will still be much faster than using a paintbrush. So, it’s up to you how much importance you put on this factor. Like the Wagner the Meterk is a HLVP. If you’re unsure what that means, it’s basically an air compressor that feeds the paint or in our case fence paint or treatment. It’s a minified version of full on spraying that you will see for cars and joinery. Suitable for solvent/oil-based paints and emulsion/water-based paints. Use the thinning chart included in the instruction manual before filling up the sprayer.

When it comes to cleaning and storage, the spray gun is simple to dismantle and comes with cleaning accessories to make it an easy clean-up operation. HVLP spray paint machines are perfect for use on interior projects, but they are costlier compared to other sprayers.
