Vortex's alt-mode is unusual in that while in it he is normally configured as a helicopter (fitting the trend of other Vortexes in the multiverse), but converts to a jet-like form when using his ability to boost (this would technically classify him as a gyrodyne). Unfortunately, it appears that the toy is not capable of replicating this "boost mode".

Vortex's body parts are available to Scientist-class characters in Fall of Cybertron multiplayer, identified as Vanguard-type components. Because of his unique vehicle mode, there are no Vanguard-type wings. However, wings from other characters can be used by equipping the desired wings on one chest, then switching over to the Vanguard chest. They are only visible on the tail of the helicopter, however.
