About this deal

This is an issue with push-fit figures. One thing some people have suggested doing is shaving a millimetre or so off the very end of the joining peg using a sharp hobby knife or some sprue cutters.

function updateFadeIn(e){myx=parseFloat(getOpacity(e));if (bahShambles == 1){cancelFade++;if (cancelFade == 1){} else {if (myx <.9){if (cancelFade > 35){myx+=.02;showElement(e);setOpacity(e,myx);}setTimeout(function(){updateFadeIn(e);},25);} else {setOpacity(e,1);}}}} Once again, there are absolutely no prizes for guessing what this Battleplan is all about. Designed to show you how Wizards cast spells during the course of a battle, this Battleplan pits six Gutrippaz against one Knight-Arcanum, who begins the game on top of the Dawnbringer Bastion. And finally edge highlighted very sparingly with (again the name has worn off, but I think its aluminum.) Designed to be used on the tabletop during gameplay, these neat cards are festooned with epic photographs of the figures to which they pertain, and have all the appropriate statistics printed on the reverse.

IS DOMINION ANY GOOD?

The hobgrots often seen fighting alongside their Kruleboy Orruk kin look like they’ve just emerged from a mire. Hobgrot Hide is the perfect basecoat for such creatures. First up, I wanted to show off the only variant model in this set. The Gutrippa Boss can also be built as a normal Gutrippa. Though, in fairness, the only difference is that he is wearing a metal helmet. The shield and arm bare little difference to any of the other models.

The Lord-Imperatant is parts 1-11, with parts 5 & 6 being optional helmeted and unhelmeted heads. Part 12 is a base feature.The only optional build on this sprue is model J (parts 1-9) which can be built as either a Gutrippa or Gutrippa Boss Dominion is full to bursting with glorious Warhammer goodness – two full armies, each with several units, a powerful Leader, and ample support. It also includes the full Core Book with an exclusive cover, plus loads of warscrolls and reference material. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: love them or hate them, you can’t deny that GW produces some of the best artwork out there. Just look at it! It’s a glorious piece of artwork that’d look incredible framed and looming over your hobby or gaming cave – provided, of course, it hasn’t fallen foul of any pointy bits of sprue. This time, we’ve lost the run-of-the-mill Warhammer 40,000-themed military ranks and gained some glittery fantasy-themed names for these new boxes. We have the appropriately fantastical (and much harder to follow) Warrior Edition, the Harbinger Edition and the Extremis Edition. These will all be crucial resources when it comes to your first few battles of Age of Sigmar. Everything is designed to be portable, convenient, and easy to put away – likely so you can box it all up and take it along to a mate’s house (or, of course, your local tabletop gaming haunt).

On the left sleeve, the parts you have joined will need clean up. but there are other parts in the way. You’ll need a sharp hobby knife, patience, and a good deal of flexing to get in there. This is the friendliest, least intimidating box so far announced for the new edition. If you’ve never held a paintbrush in your life, haven’t even heard of TTRPGs, or the wider world of wargames, the Warrior Starter Set is for you. It doesn’t have an overwhelming volume of figures in it, nor does it overload you with hyper-technical wargamer rules and regulations. There are dice, range rulers, and a few books and sheets of rules for those interested – but nothing so domineering and assertive as to place all the emphasis on the game and not the hobby. For example, on sprue A, Parts 1-9 are the parts needed to build your first Gutrippa, that being the Gutrippa boss or a standard Gutrippa variant. Parts 10-12 are your second Gutrippa Parts 13-17 the next and so on…function closeDownImage(){x =document.getElementById('imageloader');x.innerHTML='';x.style.visibility='hidden';x.style.display='none';y = document.getElementById('imageloaderouter');y.style.visibility='hidden';y.style.display='none';} With a roll of 6, she was able to charge the last remaining Vindictor-Prime. She then rolled a 5 and a 3 to hit against her To Hit characteristic of 4+, and a 5 on her To Wound characteristic of 4+. I failed my save with a measly roll of 1 and my Vindictor-Prime lost a wound. Simply put, this is the biggest and best Warhammer Age of Sigmar boxed set that we’ve ever made. With two sizable armies – including all-new units and even a never-before-seen subfaction of the Orruk Warclans – a copy of the updated Warhammer Age of Sigmar Core Book with exclusive full-art cover, and more besides, it’s a truly epic set. Mix some of what was left of the Skeleton Horde pool with some Deepkin Flesh and use that to highlight the banners.

The Era of the Beast has almost begun, and what better way to prepare for the glorious wars to come than with a Realmscape battlefield depicting the murky swamps and dusty, barren wastelands of Ghur? This Realmscape set includes two double-sided, fold-out, heavy-duty game boards, each 22.4″ x 30″ in size. function updateQty(e,t){qty=parseInt(elById(e).value),qty+=t,1>qty&&(qty=1),isNaN(qty)&&(qty=1),elById(e).value=qty} As with all the other Battleplans examined so far, the battle ends when one player has removed all their models from the board. function setOpacity(e,t){x=elById(e),x.style.MozOpacity=t,x.style.KhtmlOpacity=t,x.style.opacity=t,x.style.MsFilter='"progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha"(Opacity='+parseInt(100*t)+")",x.style.filter="alpha(opacity="+parseInt(100*t)+")"}

I was surprised by these sprues. After the Indomitus release where everything fitted together so easily and appropriately snug, I came into this expecting to blitz through building some of the highest detailed plastic models ever produced. It’s not the units themselves – they are highly detailed and look great. But in every starter box in the last half-decade or so, we’ve had really awesome Feature Units, some rank and file and then we have these. Think Chainrasps, think Necron warriors, think Poxwalkers. In the responding Fight turn, the Knight-Arcanum killed the remaining Gutrippa on the ground, thus freeing her up to focus on the three atop Dawnbringer Bastion in her next turn.
