Ghostbusters 1985 - $5,500

Siddhant Adlakha of IGN was more critical, stating that "All five stories in V/H/S/94 feature a cult-like element, but only one of them feels like a true work of madness," rating it 6/10. [22] The Hollywood News' Kat Hughes praised the film's look and special effects, but criticized the pacing of some segments. She thought that the film "doesn’t quite capture that same spark that the original V/H/S ignited, but does prove that there is still life in this anthology series," rating it 3/5. The sequel V/H/S/99 debuted in the Midnight Madness stream at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival [22] and was released on Shudder October 20, 2022. [23]

And so we return to Reeder’s Los Angeles SWAT team, who end “V/H/S ’94” with such a shrug that it leaves you vexed by how a film this half-hearted could still manage to pump so much blood. These are skilled filmmakers striving to keep themselves busy (and their skeleton crews employed) during COVID, and idle hands have certainly done worse. But seeing this much talent wasted on yet another warped edition of this worn-out franchise suggests that the concept itself is no longer inspiring the people it brings to the table. This is the first Magic Roundabout video release to be released by BBC Video and is also the only Magic Roundabout video release to contain the 1981-1988 BBC Video Ident from when it was originally released as a pre-certified video in 1984 until it was re-released for the first time in 1989. In terms of the movie itself getting green lit — the storyline that runs through the whole movie was something that we had originally discussed. So we just went with the decided upon streamlined story and just let the filmmakers go do their thing. Which is kind of a reverse of how you're supposed to do a movie like this. You're supposed to do that last. It became a 'fill-in-the-hole' type project. What can we put here? What can we put there? You know, what would amp it up here? So it was a living project.
