While they could have perhaps benefitted from following the wider Speed Championswheelbase to allow for a better-proportioned final build (which you’ll notice from front-on viewing), everything otherwise in shaping, colour and all-round design perfectly recreates this iconic vehicle, one time in complete, upright form, and a second time upside down and crushed into the mud by the T. rex. The curvature and silhouette also matches it, and in many ways, it’s a very impressive re-creation of an already established design archetype. It made me so happy, recalling this scene from Jurassic Park, and if you’re a fan of the Steven Spielberg classic, I can absolutely guarantee that you’ll enjoy this build too.

For aspects such as the two (or rather, one-and-a-half) Ford Explorers, that is very much true to say. We have been waiting a long time to build an official LEGO version of this vehicle and what is before us in 76956 T. rex Breakout does not disappoint. There’s no pricing or release date yet, but going by the 2 newly revealed LEGO Jurassic World Dominion sets, you should expect this on 17 April 2022. The warning and hazard signs – love that they use a minifigure hand for the 10,000 volts high voltage sign. And yes, there are studs on the Ford Explorer, so that the T.Rex can affix itself neatly as its stomping it. There is authenticity and charm in the design of each of these minifigures, and they work both for younger fans wanting to play out the scene and for older fans wanting to give their display a real added sense of story and character. The set includes 4 minifigures – Alan Grant, Ian Malcolm, and the kids Lex and Tim Murphy who are covered in mud. Tour Vehicle 5 is braced by the edge of the display area and these medium nougat 1×2 cheese wedges in front. Keepability [5]– This set is an instant classic, and is one of the best LEGO Jurassic Park/World sets ever

Alan, meanwhile, strikes a pose with his signal flare in front of Explorer 5. Ian can be seen looking on in a pretty good rendition of abject terror. Hilariously, and to boost the displayability, there’s also a printed LEGO Jurassic plaque, as well as a printed tile with Ian Malcolm’s “Boy, do I hate being right all the time”.As an adult fan who primarily loves displaying sets, this Jurassic Park diorama is an absolute winner, and I cannot find much fault with it. Sure, I would’ve loved more printed elements, and it would’ve been such a killer move if LEGO chose this set to reintroduce the LEGO Goat, but at its core, this is an extremely satisfying set that will absolutely delight fans of the movie.

T76956 T. Rex Breakout is hands down, one of the most satisfying, and I think memorable sets of 2022. Our light kit features 18 individual LEDs. Including a pair of our Rotating Bit Lights and a pair of Flashing White Bit Lights, all action components to sound the alarm and take your LEGO display to the next cinematic level. I’m extremely biased here, because I love dinosaurs, Jurassic Park, and have bought nearly every LEGO set with a dinosaur in it, so this to me, is a perfect set. Are we being too harsh in criticising the design of the T. rex in 76956 T. rex Breakout? Overall, this is still a great LEGO set, capturing so much of the most famous moment from Jurassic Park –the set-up of the scene, the two Ford Explorers, the rain-soaked, terrified minifigures and all the little details in-between all give life and authenticity to the LEGO set and the moment from the film it is based on. More manuals of Lego Frequently Asked Questions about Lego set 76956 Jurassic World T. Rex breakoutThe T. rex doesn’t completely shatter the illusion either, and from certain points of view can work with the rest of the elements of the model to make 76956 T. rex Breakout a success –particularly at this relatively low price. The T. rex’s shortcomings aren’t enough to put anyone off buying this set and they won’t be enough to detract from what is a fun and exciting LEGO set to put together and one that feels like it has been a long time coming. If you’re a fan of LEGO Dinosaurs, or Jurassic Park this set is an absolute dream, so let’s jump into this early review of 76956 T.Rex Breakout! So, for the shortcomings of the T. rex, it is unusual to write that we’d have preferred to pay a higher price for some aesthetic improvements to the dinosaur, to turn what is a really good LEGO Jurassic Park set into a perfect one. — Pictures —

This is an absolute winner for me, and with Jurassic World Dominion hitting theatres soon, I for one am looking forward to the Jurassic Park/World resurgence! Alan Grant, has his red scarf, tan hat, and very wet clothes, which are slightly dishevelled which is a really nice touch by the graphic designer Casper Glahder. They both carry flares to distract the T.Rex. Yet, the T. rex is far from perfect, and for all the marketing around this particular set and for the otherwise very careful design that has gone into making it a display-based LEGO set, that is a dinosaur that does not want you looking too closely at it. Ian Malcolm is a fan favourite, and is attired in his signature leather blazer, and also exposing parts of his chest. The printing colour is a little off, and doesn’t quite match the colour of his head, unfortunately, but other than that small flaw, it’s a great depiction of Ian Malcolm. As a treat, the wheels use printed tiles, which were a nice surprise, and look incredibly accurate to the real thing. Designer insight: According to Atticus, two of the biggest challenges were designing a foot that would let it stand on its own and not have to be supported by anything else, and also trying to capture the shape of the T-Rex head as best you could at that scale. And here’s the completed LEGO Jurassic Park diorama, which makes for a terrific display. It measures 58cm (23 inches) across. Here’s a look at the kids, Lex and Tim Murphy, who are both covered head to toe in mud. Again, kudos for to the graphic designer for bringing these details to life in such a vivid way, and I love the splotches of mud across their torsos & faces, as well as muddy arms and legs.
