Description

Most portable monitors link to laptops via a USB-C, HDMI, or Thunderbolt cable. Some portable monitors are powered by the laptop via the USB-C or Thunderbolt cable, while others require a separate power source like a wall outlet.

Speakers are included, but they’re rather awful. They’re fine for basic system noises or listening to a podcast in a pinch, but you’ll want to use external speakers or headphones in most situations. A 3.5mm audio-out is included. Arzopa A1 Gamut: SDR image quality In terms of viewing angles, I could see the monitor clearly enough to read as far to the side as around 60 degrees. The biggest issue with viewing the monitor from an angle is its potential to reflect light. Head on, the matte screen should be okay in most circumstances, but you could see significant glare if you're looking at it from the side. The cover doubling as a stand helps massively here. It's easy to adjust the monitor, so glare won't be an issue if you and some other people are using it as a screen for a games console or all watching an event on it. Similarly, it's easy to set it up so you're square on with it when using it as an auxiliary monitor, so you don't need to worry about its comfortable viewing range in that situation. Image quality is great for the price. The Azorpa A1 Gamut reaches a maximum brightness of 297 nits, which is brighter than many competitors. The color gamut spans 97 percent of sRGB and 74 percent of DCI-P3. The A1 Gamut appears bright and vivid in day-to-day use and, though not ideal for professional content creation, holds up well while browsing the web, working in Microsoft Office, or viewing YouTube. Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 connections are the fastest of the bunch—the latter can transfer at speeds as fast as 40 gigabytes per second, which is twice as fast as the typical USB-C. The monitor’s color accuracy is excellent for the price, scoring surprisingly close to the INNOCN 15K1F. This level of color accuracy provides a lifelike image and will generally hold up to less demanding content creation workflows. Those who simply need to edit a few photos on occasion, or are looking to upload to YouTube, should have no problems with its performance.

If you have a newer Apple iPad, it will likely already have a USB-C port, so you can use the USB-C to USB-C cable to connect. If you have an older iPad or an iPhone with a Lightning connector, there's no way at present to use a Lightning to USB-C cable to power and connect to an external display. Instead, you'll need to use something like the Apple Lightning to Digital AV Adapter and the HDMI to Mini HDMI cable. In that scenario, the Arzopa G1 Game will also need external power. In short, it's doable, but a lot of trouble versus other mobile devices. Asus Chromebook CX1 and Other Computers Like most speakers on portable monitors, the ones included in the G1 Game are more of an afterthought. They sound worse than laptop speakers, which is bad. There’s distortion as you pass 80 percent volume and there’s no base. I played “Canela” by Santana and it sounded like the song was recorded in a gas station bathroom. It was empty, lifeless and hollow.

Although you can find portable monitors that connect via USB-A or VGA, we recommend avoiding them because they have slow transfer speeds that lead to low resolution. UCB-C, Thunderbolt, HDMI, and mini-HDMI provide the fastest transfer speed between your device and portable monitor. Resolution The monitor has three input options: two USB-C with DisplayPort Alternate Mode and one Mini-HDMI. All required cables and accessories are included. However, the monitor’s menu system is hard to use and offers few adjustments. Some premium options, like those from Asus, use rechargeable batteries for a few hours of use without the need for a power cable. Consider grabbing a rechargeable portable monitor if you plan on using your monitor without a power source nearby. Trevor Raab We hope that you love your Arzopa products, but just in case you're not 100% satisfied, we've made the return and exchange process super easy.

This 144 Hz portable monitor is priced under $150.

Viewsonic’s ColorPro VP16-OLED is a portable monitor that targets professionals and enthusiasts. It has class-leading image quality and a unique, versatile stand. If you’re using a portable monitor for gaming, consider reaching for one with a high refresh rate. Refresh rate refers to how frequently the display draws a new image each second, measured in hertz. We recommend a monitor with a refresh rate of at least 120 hertz for smooth, uninterrupted gaming. How We Selected Most portable monitors offer the option to connect over USB, a video input (usually HDMI), or both, but the number of ports available and the standards used vary widely. We look for monitors that offer a healthy selection of ports. We also prefer monitors that can be powered over USB-C by a connected desktop or laptop. Portability, size, and weight

Given that this is a gaming monitor, I decided to see how it handled Overwatch 2. I hooked the monitor to a Hades Canyon NUC with an Intel Core i7-8890G processor with AMD Radeon RX Vega M GH graphics. HDMI connections smoothly output video with a steady frame rate, making them great for game consoles and working. USB-C rivals the quality of HDMI with the added benefit of power, but note that only USB-C 3.1 and above can output video as well. USB-C 3.0 and earlier will require a separate video cord, such as an HDMI or mini HDMI. Arzopa’s portable gaming monitor has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 (better known as 1080p) and a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. The refresh rate, which indicates how many times the display can refresh per second, improves responsiveness and motion clarity. It’s a noticeable improvement over a portable monitor with a 60Hz refresh rate. Damage caused by accidents, natural disasters, intentional or accidental misuse, abuse, negligence or improper maintenance, or abnormal conditions of use; The Arzopa G1 is compatible with multiple gaming systems including PS5, Switch, and Xbox. And for you desktop gamers, fret not. The G1 is compatible with Mac, Windows, and Raspberry Pi compatibility. The monitor also delivers a bright, attractive image. 1080p resolution may sound mundane in today’s world of 4K displays but, due to a portable monitor’s small 15.6-inch display, it delivers sharpness close to that of a 27-inch 4K monitor. The Arzopa G1 Game also scores well in contrast, color gamut, and color accuracy. The Arzopa A1 Gamut is a solid 15.6-inch 1080p portable monitor that delivers good image quality, an attractive design, and useful features at a low price.
