About this deal

So what Aston is the best to drive? In our opinion, the best Aston Martin to drive is the Aston Martin DB11. This supercar went to production in 2016 as the successor to the Aston Martin DB9, but with an entirely new design and sleeker new look. It was the first supercar released as part of the manufacturers 'second century' plan, and the first supercar launched since their deal with Daimler AG. The transmission is a dual-clutch 8-speed ZF 8HP75 paddle-shift gearbox and is available with either a 4.0 L Mercedes-AMG M177 twin-turbocharged V8, or 5.2 L Aston Martin AE31 twin-turbocharged V12 engine. From initial sketches to the finished car, this four-part book offers a fascinating read about the fights, worries, challenges, financial issues and politics occurring when a traditional sports car brand and a leading Formula 1 team join forces to engineer the first genuine road legal Formula 1 car.

The Yearbook includes exclusive content and photoshoots of some of the most iconic Aston Martins from the past 100 years, as well as a compilation of the Aston Martin heritage essays that have featured in AM Magazine throughout the year, along with rare James Bond material and a look at the new models of 2013. We” includes Aston Martin Lagonda Limited, Aston Martin Lagonda of Europe GmbH, Aston Martin Lagonda of North America Inc., Aston Martin Lagonda (China) Automobile Distribution Co. Ltd, Aston Martin Japan Limited, Aston Martin Asia Pacific PTE Limited, Aston Martin MENA Limited and your chosen Aston Martin Franchised Dealer.René Staud is still passionate about photography and the automotive world. He devotes his time to exhibitions, events and photo shows in galleries, thus, revealing fresh enthusiasm for automotive trends –Staud’s photo shoots of collectors’ vehicles and classic cars mean the “fascination of the automobile” lives on. René Staud is a masterful photographer: his artworks are finely balanced compositions of light and color contoured with a flash. His portraits of captivating car bodywork have made a distinctive mark in the world of modern automotive photography.” For true aficionados, it was no surprise that the paths of the traditional British brand and the multi-award-winning automotive photographer would cross at some point. Both share a deep passion for exclusive sports cars as well as a keen sense of aesthetics.

Being a fan of Aston, I will most certainly be keeping this book in my AM collection and am excited to see where the marque goes on from here. As an extra, special celebration of 100 years we are also releasing a limited edition of just 100 exclusive copies of the book. These "AM100" special editions feature a unique cover reproduction of James Hart Dyke's painting of Sir Stirling Moss driving the DBR1 at the Nürburgring, with the book itself signed and individually numbered by the artist. Aston Martin is not only one of the best-known British luxury brands, but with the DB5 and its successors as a James Bond vehicle, it is also firmly anchored in pop culture. Not only are these vehicles one of the most desired Supercars throughout the driving world, but they also are British through and through - go on, treat yourself or someone special with an Aston thrill driving experience gift voucher! There are even some little gems mentioned in this book like speaking about Solo, one of the side stories of Star Wars. Of course you can't write about Aston Martin without mentioning James Bond so it's delightful to read about the latest (and as yet unseen) film No Time to Die.

The classic V8s are the leviathans of the Aston Martin story. So it is fitting that they are celebrated in a tome as weighty, imposing and sumptuously produced as this latest limited edition from highly regarded Palawan Press.” – VANTAGEThe special design with a cover printed on hot foil and the large format also make the book a highlight on the outside. Rowan Atkinson writes, “As someone who lived through the era and bought and drove a fair number of Aston V8s, this volume stirs many warm and wonderful memories.” Formula 1 teams tend to push it extremely far, and Red Bull Racing again goes a little further, all eyes on laptime only. That’s just who they are. Rumour has it, one Red Bull engineer once got flak after he had taken the outer side of Adrian’s pencil line to define the size of a part whereas, obviously, it had to be the inner side. It’s really a whole other attitude. Is it crazy? Yes. Does it make sense? Not always, probably. Valkyrie is so blindingly fast, most owners will never squeeze it out to the max anyway. But there’s also a lot of beauty in this relentless striving for efficiency and performance, even coming close to art. This is not just the fastest road car of the entire Milky Way. It’s mainly the three dimensional result of a very peculiar, uncompromising philosophy that only occurs in the world’s most advanced sport. Maybe not all owners will frequently take their Valkyrie out, but they at least have something to talk about at their gentlemen’s club, far exceeding the typical horse power and top speed discussions. Does it make sense to push so hard that a few careers got ruined and more marriages didn’t survive? Is it really worthwhile to spend that much effort and money the company came close to bankruptcy? I guess not. But it’s kind of cool as well. Whether it’s the Chinese Wall, the Eiffel Tower or some of the most iconic cars ever, history is coloured by totally limitless and crazy projects. Exactly this makes our book so special. Imagine you would now find a book on the Ferrari 250 GTO, produced in the day by journalists who were there, talking with Enzo, Giotto Bizzarrini, Sergio Scaglietti, Luigi Chinettti and all other legends in the making. Because yes, without a shadow of a doubt, Valkyrie will be headlining Villa d’Este in 2062.

the cars met, so far having more than 15.000 pictures in the photo library. It was in 2009 during the Bonham’s auction that in the middle of a chat about the brand's books that the idea arisen to make a book in our turn to share our How well the two harmonise is shown by this high-quality illustrated book, which truly invites you to dream and indulge. Inspiring impressions and concise texts make it possible to immerse oneself in the exciting Aston Martin cosmos and discover many unknown stories. In his foreword, the author and automotive (design) expert Paolo Tumminelli puts it in a nutshell: "No car manufacturer has gone down more often. No other has been resurrected every time. Is that why the logo bears the wings of the phoenix?"

Ties in with the successful original edition with two issues and almost 10,000 copies sold, but also with the last René Staud titles: The Jaguar Book (published in autumn 2021 and already reprinted in February 2022) and Mercedes-Benz. The 300 SL Book (published in April 2022) The main purpose is to give an extensive view of the evolution car per car with pictures and text all together gathered in a luxury slip case.
