About this deal

Audio pro C10's are beautiful things and they sound great. Rich well balanced with good bass. The C5 is a bit too full & bassy. Having owned guitar amps and well made hifi equipment, these compete with aplomb, with simple solid boxes with wonderful buttons and knobs. I have had freezes and hanging software. The App not seeing my speakers and my radio presets disappearing. - My Wifi Strength is 100% at 200mb .So I think its Hardware/software According to Oxford Languages (via Google), the word revivify popped up in the 17 th century to describe something that “give(s) new life or vigour to”. That neatly sums up the Audio Pro Link 2.

You can play music from a computer or NAS in your network, internet streaming services or your mobile. This flexible and compact model is all controlled by Audio Pro's App Of Simplicity so the musical options are limitless. There are many Brands of this type of equipment. I would put more faith in proven SONOS, or Bluesound, or Cambridge, or many others. What type of performance can you expect from the Audio Pro Link 2? You might think that a music streamer wouldn’t influence the eventual sound that comes from the speaker, but it – along with the other kit used – can impact the overall audio performance. Does the Audio Pro app play gaplessly? We don’t yet know. That’s a question for the manufacturer to answer. As are the specifications of the unit’s two outputs: the 3.5mm analogue output whose internal DAC specification is unknown; and the TOSLINK output whose sample rate ceiling and possible resampling are also unknown.

Hama and Aqipa are apparently some form of marketing companies who job out products to various retailers. They list no names or where products can be obtained. The app does look like it could use a fresh coat visually, but it is responsive to use and easy to navigate, though I’ve found if I leave the app open for long enough it has a habit of crashing, necessitating a restart. Performance It’s proved consistent in terms of its tone across various wireless sources, whether Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect or Google Cast (Qobuz) – the difference lies in the details with Spotify (of course) sounding the least defined of the three. I couldn't find any articles relating to what chips etc are in the guts of the Audio Pro Link 1 adaptors. It’s been a big trend in the hi-fi world recently, with Cambridge Audio and WIM offering similar products at a more expensive price. Can the Audio Pro Link 2 breathe new life into your old hi-fi equipment? Here’s my verdict. DesignThis model is for you if you have a speaker in every room and want to listen to one or all simultaneously. Each person in the house can play their tunes on which ever speaker they so choose, so no more fights over who gets to choose the music. Connect and Play I currently have an Audio Pro C5 for the bedroom, a Audio Pro Allroom 1 in kitchen and three further Audio Pro Link1 adaptors feeding the garden, living room and dining room setups. The second version of the Scandinavian company’s streaming device gets a new form factor, an upgrade in features, but still adheres to the same philosophy as before in taking your old analogue equipment and bringing it into the modern age. And tonally, what I hear when the Audio Pro when plugged into a system made up of a Cambridge Audio CXA61 amplifier and Q Acoustics 3010i speaker is a warm sound that gives music a rich sense of texture if not quite the level of insight and detail more expensive streamers can relay. The kit and app are a doddle to use and setup and I have found that streaming to multiple speakers is a lot more stable than with Airplay. However if you have an Apple Music subscription then you cannot stream to multiple speakers at once with the Audio Pro app, it needs to be done via iTunes and the remote app.
