When deciding, I would think about what types of products you use most often and what level of coverage you would want to have most of the time. If you have drier skin, you may prefer the liquid or cream versions. If you have oilier skin, the cream or powder versions may appeal more. If you don’t like a lot of shimmer or want something that can easily be used all-over, I think the liquid is best. If you love shimmer and the more reflective the better, the powder is an excellent choice. I think the colors are fairly consistent across the board, particularly once applied to the skin, with the liquid versions giving the least amount of color due to their deliberately sheer quality. If I had to sum up my thoughts on the pressed Shimmering Skin Perfectors I’d have to admit they’re not my absolute favorite formula of pressed highlighter. Like I mentioned earlier, I prefer the liquid version (which seems to have been discontinued, WHY???😭😭😭). I gravitate toward a smooth and seamless powder like the Essence Pure Nude Highlighter or the highlighter in theBalm’s Will Powder Palette. Some of the Shimmering Skin Perfectors are just too sparkly or thin for my liking. The biggest gripe I have with cream highlighters in general is that I find them very difficult to use. I feel like I often have issues blending them out on my cheekbones, resulting in a shimmery stripe across my face. I don’t often have a strong reaction to makeup, particularly after only trying it once, so imagine my surprise when I started using this highlighter and fell head over heels for it. In fact, I have to say that it beats out the pressed formula for me, which has been my favourite highlighter that I’ve discovered so far. That’s a bold claim! Estee Lauder Companies (ELC) announced it was shutting down Becca Cosmetics last September. But— Smashbox (also an ELC brand) saved Becca's cult-favorite Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Champagne Pop, along with a few other products, under its Smashbox x Becca collection.

This is the light true gold shade in the permanent line. It’s deeper than and has a much warmer yellow tone than Champagne Pop, which is cooler and more neutral than Prosecco Pop. answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) butROSE GOLD: The cream version is slightly darker with a smoother sheen, whereas the liquid and powder versions are nearly the same in color but offer different opacities, and the powder version is more metallic on the skin. Swatches L to R: Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone, The Balm Mary Lou Manizer, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop Step 2: Lightly glide the brush, starting from your cheek’s high points and move up towards the temple and brow. Similar to the other Becca highlighters in the regular line, the Poured highlighters are housed in a sleek UFO-looking compact with the brushed metal in the middle and a rubberized brown edge, which tends to collect a lot of shimmer (for me at least). As you can see in the photo, the compact of the Poured version is actually a lot smaller than that of their pressed formula, even though the pressed version does not contain that much more product! Here are comparison swatches of Moonstone in the Poured formula with two of my other favourite champagne highlighters – the Balm Mary Loumanizer and the Becca Pressed formula in Opal – they look the same in the sheered out swatches but I swear they’re different – I swear! From left to right (swatched): The Balm Mary Loumanizer, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured Highlighter in Moonstone, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal From left to right (sheered out) : The Balm Mary Loumanizer, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured Highlighter in Moonstone, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal

Today is a review of the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured highlighter, which is Becca’s cream version of their beloved Shimmering Skin Perfector highlighters. Unless you’re new to the beauty community, you’ll know that everyone raves about Becca’s Pressed (powder) highlighter as well as their liquid highlighter, but as I mentioned in my 8 Beauty Products I Love That No One Talks About blog post, I haven’t heard much about their Poured formula. Best Buildable Formula:BECCA x Khloé Kardashian & Malika Haqq Bronze, Blush & Glow Palette – Gold/Khloé Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector is available in three forms: liquid, cream, and pressed powder. Here’s how I would describe each formula:Medium skin: Since you have a warmer skin tone, you need to avoid anything that’s too silvery as it may look ashy on your skin. Look for hues that have more warmth like warm pinks, peaches, champagne, or gold. For medium skin tones, the Becca Opal highlighter or Rose Quartz should work well. Liquid highlighters are lightweight and have a creamy texture. They are sheer and give your skin a subtle glow, while also providing all-day moisture. They are suitable for dry, combination, or mature skin types. Liquid formulations can also be mixed with your favorite foundation for a luminous appearance. Opal: A neutral, white gold with universally flattering, soft pink undertones; adds a perfect amount of radiance. Gold Pop (formerly Prosecco Pop): True, ethereal gold, that flatters medium to deep skin tones; perfect for anyone who wants a flash of golden radiance.
