About this deal

As written, the book is really three different yet related books in one: (1) the major crisis, (2) the victim on the run, and (3) the metamorphosis and series setup. Daniel Taylor is a very complicated character and Audrey’s first impressions are way off the mark. But the more Audrey lets Daniel into her life the more tangled her new relationship becomes as Daniel has many secrets and until he reveals all to Audrey she cannot clear her mind of her feelings for him. The one thing Wendy doesn't count on is that an attractive man in the bar approaches her during one of her most vulnerable times in her marriage. She loves the attention he provides and when her friend Pam calls to tell her she can't meet her, Wendy makes the mistake of leaving the bar with the man knowing the choice she makes tonight will alter her life forever. When she arrives in his apartment, she suddenly comes to grip with her moral conviction and kindly tells Curtis that she needs to go home before things go any further than simply being in his apartment. This is a contemporary women's fiction / romance set primarily in London . Audrey Fox is the main character of the story , she has recently been let down by her fiancé just before their wedding and has had her heart well and truly battered . But as one door closes another opens in the form of the gorgeous Daniel, business man and single father.

There were many twists in this tale I didn’t see coming, one minute I was hopeful and thought ‘yes, Audrey should choose him’ and then the author throws us in a completely different direction and you are left with a right quandary. Eleven-year-old Mary Wade is the oldest of seven children in a poor family living in London in 1789. Her father is usually away working, leaving her mother to care for the children alone. There is never enough money, and they are often cold and hungry. One day, hoping to help her mother, Mary makes a terrible decision that will change her life forever. With the help of her friend, Mary steals some clothing to sell. The next day, she is caught and arrested. At trial, she is convicted and sentenced to death, all for stealing a few pieces of clothing. To clear her name, Wendy has to unravel a complicated conspiracy to runs to the highest levels of the federal government.well what I found was a story that first and foremost was very readable, written in a style that I enjoyed. It's a story that starts in Cyprus after Audrey's wedding has been called off very last minute, and then continues in London, with the support of her friends and family. I couldn’t predict what was going to happen in this story, the countless twists made the second half much more compelling. Even down to the last line there’s a twist which now leaves me dribbling with delight for the next episode. (Cheers Kelly!). Mary Wade a poor girl who was only ever trying to help her family seemed to be doing the wrong things, as she goes one step too far one day she finds herself given the death sentence and is put in the worst jail in England. As the King decided to trial every convict she gets an offer of a freedom of sorts; to be sent to a new scary land called New South Wales. Her long and tiresome journey on Lady Juliana is filled with its good and bad parts but though an incredibly long journey she feels the heat, the air and is being fed, getting to see new lands as they stop and having an experience she never dreamt of having. As they eventually land in Australia ready to start their new lives she finally doesn’t feel so alone. I bought this because it was going cheap on a clearance table. It was on clearance for a reason. Lesson learned.

The pieces start falling together at the end as to what's going on and I was happy with the ending for the most part. Not to give anything away, I wasn't buying the possible love connection that was hinted at, though. Really? It had only been four months. This story starts with a simple marital spat, an argument between two people who love each other deeply, but let emotion control them for just a day. Not much time, but in that period, Wendy Gould (the wife) almost sleeps with another man. Almost--she stops herself in time, but can't get out of the hotel room before her potential paramour is murdered and she must kill a Federal agent to save her own life. She flees for home and confides in her husband--the bad and the ugly--but before they can tell her story to the police, he is killed and she must run for her life from a rogue federal agent. The ending, without revealing anything was to me a bit of a let down. It's a let's leave them to it sort of thing to me anyway. I still had questions, how would they overcome certain situations. There was a summary of other people who had interacted with the main character, Audery, and what the outcome was for their lives but a sort of this is the situation, now we leave her get her happiness. Not enough for me. As an example, at some point she feels whoever she ends up with she was going to be playing second fiddle so how could she be good with that.
