Description

is a hibiscus and lime sour aged in Rioja barrels, leading with a delicate, tannic base from the wood. When refermented with hibiscus flowers and lime zest it springs to life with floral and citrus aromas, with the OverWorks signature funky, complex flavour running to a bone dry finish.

For those of you planning a festive drink at home we have some killer beers in our online shop alongside Choco Libre and Libertine – keeping things dark we have a brand-new super-fresh batch of Cocoa Psycho. We also have our latest Abstrakt ready for when the armchair calls – AB:24 is a coffee and brown sugar Imperial Baltic Porter, guaranteed to be the perfect nightcap.

Siren Caribbean Chocolate Cake (four versions – regular, double, BA and ginger) (draft and/or bottles) This week is the busiest for a long time in terms of amazing new BrewDog beer. Following last week’s latest Spirit Barrel release from BrewDog OverWorks (codename: Gyronaut) this week two more new beers go live from our temple to alternative fermentation. Plus we go down a far more traditional route with the first sign of winter – our mixed festive case is out now. We also have the final seasonal release of 2019; the return of an old favourite. And there’s more besides. The collection features an assortment of the Scottish brewery’s bestselling beers, including everyone’s favourite Punk IPA (5.4% ABV) and the crisp and refreshing Lost Lager (4.5% ABV), as well as limited-edition brews and festive one-off showstoppers. Zero Lords a leaping, but loads of beer worth keeping! Also out now we have a thundering new line from BrewDog OverWorks – the inauguration of their Disparate Elements range. These are refined, blended sours created by selecting the best of our barrel store and working them together. Until that moment, the barrels had been abandoned with intent, an island of outcasts hiding in plain sight. The true skill of our cellar guardians is to call up these barrels and blend them into true one offs – Disparate Elements.

This five malt, 5.0% ABV amber hits the big time with a seven-strong dry hop regime. Simcoe, Cascade, Ahtanum, Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic, Centennial and Amarillo arrive to bring with them a collision of berry and citrus flavour, riding on a wave of caramel and biscuit from the malt bill. Spice marmalade marries with chocolate in a perfect autumnal/winter warmer. 5AM Saint is a structured anarchy of malt and hops, released as a seasonal it is timed to perfection. To Øl 1 Ton Of...Christmas. Sour with cherries, redcurrant and prunes (can) OR To Øl Santa’s Secret: Mochaccino Messiah Double Shot. Brown Ale with coffee (draft)

Also launching online today (and in our bars tomorrow, December 2nd) is our brand new 8.2% ABV Mexican Hot Chocolate Imperial Stout, Choco Libre. This beer is colossal and comes ready to roll with seven different malts playing off against the addition of cocoa nibs, cinnamon, chili, coffee and vanilla for a rich, full-bodied winter warmer from the Americas. Saddle up with the second of our 12 Beers of Christmas – one you won’t want to miss.

This coming Sunday sees the start of December, and the time when many of you will be opening the first door on your advent calendars (whether beer or chocolate versions). But there’s also another tradition that begins the same day – our 12 Beers of Christmas. When our UK BrewDog Bars open on the 1st of December, they will be pouring a brand new beer – and then again on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th…well, you get the idea. A light golden classic subverted with new world hops, for a devastating explosion of flavour. Kalashnikov bursts of caramel, incendiary tropical fruit and all-out riot of grapefruit, pineapple and lychee precede a bitter finish. The final beer in the list is a brand new beer from our amazing team of fermentationlists at the BrewDog OverWorks. A Scottish Sour Ale fermented with gooseberry and infused with elderflower before being aged in an ex-Barolo foeder from Emilia Romagna, this beer is incredible and used two different kinds of gooseberries (tart green and sweeter red) to grow the flavour and character to new heights. No alcohol just got punked up. And Punk AF lives up to its billing. All the attitude, all the flavour but none of the alcohol. Say hello to the punkest alcohol free beer in town. Juicy tropical fruit mixes it up with grassy and pine notes. All sitting on a solid malt bassline. Full flavour, no alcohol, all punk. This new England IPA pours as hazy yellow as a vermont morning. Bags of tropical fruit aroma rise. Dry hopped for a fruity hit with pineapple, mango and a touch of zesty lime. Brewed with wheat and oats and left unfiltered for a smooth juicy delivery. Smooth, light and sessionable with a subtle bitter-sweet finish. High on hops, low on bitterness, big on taste. In this box you will find 12 different non-alcoholic 12oz surprises including several exclusive brews. Each beverage has an ABV <.5%.
