This challenge is not for the faint-hearted, but with the right training, and with our event support, you will be sure to make it successfully to Cardiff, having crossed a country in the space of 3 incredible days! Try our great fun, London Amsterdam bike challenge adventure - taking 5 days in total (4 Cycling Days), with one day to return home, you’ll be covering around 290 miles - just enough to blow the cobwebs away - or stretch yourself to the limit - depending upon your fitness level! This is an ideal itinerary for those embarking on a first cycling challenge - as the hills are very few and far between!

Crossing the historic counties of Lancaster and Yorkshire, this ride is sure to inspire you. Riding through villages and towns once walked by the Tudor Kings, cresting the hills of the Yorkshire dales and enjoying the seaside delights of both East and West Coast, makes this a really rewarding challenge. Arriving at our accommodation in Morecambe on Thursday evening, we will have an evening meal, event briefing and an early night.Starting from Bath, this 3 day ride takes in the best of the rolling Cotswold Hills. We'll meander across the landscape that's famous for its pretty honey coloured houses; we'll also be visiting quaint villages along the way for cafe and lunch stops. Our route starts out from Toulouse before following the Canal du Midi all the way to the walled city of Carcassonne. Day 2 will lead us away from the canals and up into the foothills of the Pyrenees over the Col de Couise and into Perpignan. Get ready for the ride of your life. Make sure you are prepared, as this is a HUGE ride. Crossing all the way from the Atlantic Coast at Biarritz in the Bay of Biscay, via the high cols of the Haute Pyrenees, and finally down to the Spanish Mediterranean Coast.

This is an ideal itinerary for those embarking on a first cycling challenge - as the hills are very few and far between! From Bavaria to Bohemia - Take yourself on a cycling adventure like no other. This trip is all about enjoying the countryside, the people, but most of all the culture. Immerse yourself in the unmistakable Bavarian countryside before entering the rolling hills of the Czech Republic and of course the capital of Bohemia - Prague. You shall experience food and drink fit for a king while soaking up the beautiful surroundings of gothic architecture and ancient culture deep in the heart of central Europe. While the bike is perfectly fine to ride, there were a number of elements that flagged concern with us. The first is the gears. There are 18 gears on this bike which are operated with a thumb shifter. This unfortunately did not work so well. The gears shifted with irregularity and without ease and often skipped more than one gear at a time. Regarding carbon fiber rims, there had also been other periodic problems in the past with some carbon rims that had cut our (and other tire manufacturers’) tire casings just above the beads. These tire cuts were however normally caused by less than optimal QC at the factory, resulting in quality issues of improper finishing at the tire hook during production. Normally roughness at the hook was due to failure to completely remove resin flashings created while molding the rim. Proper finishing leaves the required 0.7mm min. radiused rim hook smooth, without roughness, thus eliminating a potential tire failure.
