The indoor rink at The Venue Leisure Park, Cribbs Causeway will be opening its doors to the public for the first time at 9am on October 25. Natalie wrote: "Honestly the worse [sic] santa experience I've ever been to. It was disorganised and santa was not very believable. My five year old son did not think he was the real santa and called him an imposter!! Christmas is such an important time of the year for everyone at Cribbs and we are thrilled to have such a special experience for our many loyal shoppers and local families. We are also excited to collaborate again with the amazing team at Bakehouse Factory. We are passionate about supporting local businesses and Bakehouse are an important part of our community. We all know that children are naturally curious and love to learn new things. That is why, with each of these products, children will be able to explore a different interest with Paddington and contribute to the life of a child who lives elsewhere.” Belting out Christmas carols is hands down one of the best ways to get in the mood for Christmas. Whether singing in candle-lit churches or whilst clutching mulled wine, gather your friends and family for a good old sing-song. Sessions are available to book from 4pm on weekdays until 7.35pm for the rest of November, and on weekends evening times are still available as late as 9.20pm but daytime sessions are looking to already be sold out.The UK Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK) raises funds for UNICEF’s emergency and development work for children. In between the Christmas shopping, families will also have the opportunity to meet with Paddington at storytelling sessions in his cosy Christmas tipi. We are super proud to be unveiling an exciting new experience Cribbs’ Christmas with Paddington in Bristol on 13th November 2021. The Christmas with Paddington Grotto experience is open daily from 4pm on mid-week November dates, and then will be open throughout the days from December 2 until December 24 2022. Loveable bear Paddington will take centre stage at the shopping centre's festivities with the exclusive ‘Cribbs’ Christmas With Paddington’. Fuming parents have complained that the all-new Christmas with Paddington Santa's Grotto experience at the Trafford Centre is a "rip off" and they were "rushed" with kids "left questioning if Santa was real". It's the first time there has been a Paddigton themed grotto at the shopping mall, and is this year based inside the former Hamleys shop inside the centre.
On weekdays in November, the Christmas with Paddington experience will also be open for story-telling sessions specifically designed for pre-school children, schools, and nurseries. The Night Before Christmas at The Browns’ House is an interactive story-telling session aimed at groups of young children and will include the chance to also meet Paddington. Rail passengers are being warned to expect severe disruption on Christmas Eve because of the closure of two of London's busiest mainline stations. Paddington and Kings Cross will shut on December 24th forcing passengers to take lengthy diversions and adding around 90 minutes to some journeys. The Great Western mainline will be closed between Paddington and Ealing Common to allow engineering work on the new HS2 interchange station at Old Oak Common. Trains to and from South Wales and the West Country will terminate at Reading. The East Coast mainline will be closed between Kings Cross and Peterborough. Below are some trains from Paddington on the Sunday before Christmas Eve and on the 24th: We are expecting over 40,000 people to enjoy this immersive experience with the national treasure that is Paddington, and we are confident it will be a huge success for the centre as we provide a Christmas experience to remember.” The grotto will be part of the big return of "Tinseltown" festive extravaganza at The Trafford Centre (Image: The Trafford Centre)

October 2021 – Paddington, the much-loved children’s character, has teamed up with UNICEF to bring exciting opportunities for children to learn all about the lives of their peers around the world. Children will then be invited to tiptoe across the Christmas night-time rooftops of the beautiful Windsor Gardens, before being transported to the hallway of the Browns’ house to finally meet Paddington himself. After pausing for a photo, families will be guided in individual family groups to meet Santa, a delightful festive adventure."
