If white noise is a must-have for your child to fall and stay asleep, the Rossetta Galaxy Projector can play melodies like “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,” other lullabies, and nature sounds, too.

In this buying guide, we've tested and reviewed a range of star projectors and ranked them according to performance, quality and budget. We've included a variety of options at different price points with a range of features, so you're sure to find one that suits your needs and budget. We continue to monitor the market for different models, and we'll share our favorites with you. Can I leave a star projector on all night? This is probably an unpopular opinion, but we aren't fans of the lasers on star projectors in general — we know this is subjective. There will be people out there who prefer the laser stars over more realistic-looking star projections. While we don't particularly like them, they fill the room (up to 30x 30 ft), wider than the nebula projection, which is 15 x 15 ft, and they can be turned off completely using the app if you'd prefer. Galaxy projectors are soothing devices that project gorgeous color combinations and patterns to help with anxious sleepers, kids, or anyone who just loves looking at the night sky. Some devices feature smart app controls, others offer more simple and straightforward controls, but all the items on our list create a dreamy atmosphere that’s sure to mesmerize you. Some venture well outside efforts to recreate actual stars and simply project coo light patterns around the room. When we managed to get our hands on this little guy for our Astronaut Starry Sky Star Projector Review, we didn't have high expectations for this seemingly novelty item with a price that we've seen vary significantly between online and in-store retailers.Meeting rooms. The WD390U's thin client capabilities give every employee access to all of their data whenever and wherever it is needed. That means no file transfers, no flash drives, no connecting and disconnecting of laptops, no incompatible cables, no client-side software installations, and (most importantly) no more wasted meetings -- or at least no more wasted meetings on account of faulty technology. And could you briefly explain how it works? Because i suspect that it is more complicated than just bringing a projector on a plane. The SwaddleMe Slumber Buddies Deluxe offers little ones a soothing night light and a plush pal to cuddle with during nap and bedtime. Since it’s similar in size to a stuffed animal, it’s easy to tote to a grandparent’s house or on a plane trip. Kids can use the buttons on the plushie's plastic case to select between three calming color star displays, a light show, five lullabies, three nature sounds, and gentle vibration that mimics a parent's heartbeat. Blisslights Sky Lite 2.0 A fun way to see and create lights that are comparable to deep space imagery and stars, albeit not scientific. Ideal for creating a relaxing mood in the home.★★★½

You can find many different star projectors in all price ranges, but if you look for something special, something that will let you create a planetarium atmosphere in your own home, the Bozhihon Star Projector with LED Nebula Cloud will pique your interest. Software requirement. The WD390U makes use of the RDP protocol to work its magic, but you or your IT department will still have to install a piece of software on the server before the system will work properly. That's much less difficult than installing and configuring software on every PC in the office, and a giant step beyond what most projectors are capable of, but it's still not true plug and play. I’m particularly curious about how you operate the projector once you are on the plane? Does it screen the animation through the plane window? Would any plane do? And do you need special authorizations to project from a plane? Why it made the cut: With 10 light displays to choose from, smart app control, voice control with Alexa and Google, and other smart features, this star projector has a lot to offer. The crystal topped projector that can be controlled by pushing the buttons on the base, using your smartphone in sync with the projector, and using the remote that comes with the projector makes this an easy use for any user. You can control this projector from anywhere in the house as long as you have your phone connected or the remote on you. This makes it ideal for parties, nurseries, and for kids' rooms and is easy to use no matter the age.If your kiddo wants to feel as though they’re in outer space, the SunTime Star Projector is a must-have for your family. We love that it projects eight colorful nebulas with green stars, which can be displayed together or separately depending on your preference. However, the green stars can feel overwhelming to some kids, so it’s helpful to know parents can turn this feature off. The only thing we didn't like was that it is powered by USB-A to DC cable, which seems a little outdated (we'd prefer USB-C), but aside from that, it would make an excellent gift for any space lover for any occasion. The only downside with the Atmosphere Smart Galaxy Projector is that the nebulas and stars aren't scientifically accurate. Still, we enjoyed the experience so much that we didn't feel short-changed. We were especially happy with the option to adjust both the brightness and the projection speed, which makes it great for setting a calm environment to relax in, or an energetic party scene.

Another really cool looking projector for your bedroom, movie room, living room, or kids’ room. With an even smaller design and lighter weight than other projectors, this makes a perfect addition to any room. It won’t take up too much space and won’t get in your way. you can discreetly put this on any bedstand or table in the room and never have to worry about it again. The voice control will allow you to control this item without leaving your bed or couch and you can even control it in a kid’s room from yours. The image can be rotated in its stand and has 360-degree mobility with built-in motors. It performs best when projected from a distance of around two meters. The lens, made by Bresser, features a focusing wheel for simple image adjustment. Like many star projectors, it offers automatic shutdown options after 30, 60 or 120 minutes, making it great for kids who want to fall asleep under a starry sky in their bedroom. Additionally, it includes a 'shooting star' mode, projecting a 'meteor' every 40 seconds.A volume button controls the sound level, while a music button lets them select the best song for nighttime. Depending on how fast your kiddo tends to fall asleep, the automatic shutoff feature can be set for 15, 30, and 60 minutes.

National Geographic Astro Planetarium would make a nice space gift for a budding astronomer. It has great functionality, with a time and date selector and a built-in speaker.★★★★½ In reference to Class IIIa lasers (like laser pointers or some used in star projectors), the FDA says: ' Depending on power and beam area, can be momentarily hazardous when directly viewed or when staring directly at the beam with an unaided eye. Risk of injury increases when viewed with optical aids.' You'll need to set up your phone's Bluetooth before you start using the projector, but it's easy enough to do so, and the device will be up and running within moments. The best star projectors can either be used as home planetariums, projecting realistic night skies and galaxies indoors, or they can serve as soft, glowing night lights for adults or children. BlissLights Sky Lite EvolveThe nebulas are bright and endearing, complimented perfectly by the hue of the blue/green lasers. This is a great option for anyone shopping for a mood-enhancing star projector (rather than a scientific one). ★★★½Project Nimbus is the outcome of several years of collaborative research by artist and inventor Dave Lynch together with physicist Mike Nix and maker Aaron Nielson. Using off-the-shelf technology, the team built an experimental device that projects bright moving images onto clouds. Onto pretty much anything cloudy actually: clouds of course but also vapour from cooling towers or urban vents. A difference with a work like HeHe’s Nuage Vert and other projecting cloud projection pieces is that, with Project Nimbus, the technology is invisible to the audience. They don’t see the beam as it is flying in a plane a mile high above the ground. The illusion is total and probably also a bit unsettling.
