Users of the Comhar may more easily know that their desk will immediately stop and reverse if any obstructions are identified thanks to the anti-collision mechanism, guaranteeing a secure working environment. The Tresanti, on the other hand, doesn’t appear to have this safety function, which might increase the danger of accidents or damage during height adjustments. The associated health benefits have influenced the switch to this type of desk. It is also focused on preventing the development of bad posture in the same way. Despite having a somewhat greater cost than Tresanti, Comhar offers far more functionality. The quality and extensive functionality are unmatched in the standing desk industry, which is the best part. Costco Tresanti Standing Desk

Drawers add weight to a motor that needs to lift an already-heavy desk thousands of times in its lifespan We have six great adjustable standing desks with drawers that made our honorable mention list. These are comparable to our seven category-winning desks, but don’t fit great into any individual category. Take a look at these to look for your desired desk. EUREKA Ergonomic Leather Standing Desk Anti-collision function - In my opinion, the anti-collision sensor is easily the coolest feature. (Which is, uh, not exactly something I thought I’d ever say about my office furniture, to be perfectly honest.) During previous testing, I definitely misjudged some of the furniture I stored under the EN1, and nearly ruined a plastic fan that got in the way of those unforgiving lifting columns. (I definitely spilled more than one cup of coffee, too. If you use a preset to lower the desk, the tabletop begins to tip precariously when it hits an obstruction.) Once set up, the EG8B worked like a charm. The touch-sensitive controls take a little getting used to, but the motorized mechanisms are surprisingly quiet — even more so than the EN1. After a full month of intermittent use, I had no issues whatsoever with any moving parts. As you do your research you’ve been thinking, “Why do none of these popular standing desks have any drawers at all?” Stabilization bar - This built-in bar is a fantastic addition, and it makes a huge difference in overall stability — especially if you need to move the table around every so often. Such stabilization is noticeably absent in cheaper models like the EN1. The controls for the desk are fairly standard, but the actual control unit is installed into the frame and also includes two USB ports (1 x Type A, 1 x Type C). There are four preset numbered buttons, on which you can save y our favorite desk height presets. To save a preset, all you have to do is press and hold the touch-sensitive button for a few seconds until it beeps — and the setting is saved. Next to the preset buttons are two arrow buttons that raise and lower the desk. Pressing these buttons simultaneously allows you to adjust the desk’s collision detection sensitivity (low, medium, high, or off). This isn't the biggest desk I've had either, but at 55x28 inches, it's more than enough for my desktop, a laptop, a second monitor of up to 34 inches in size, a large mechanical keyboard, my old Logitech speakers, and a large mousemat for my gaming mouse and still have space left over for my coffee mug while leaving the wireless charging pad available.

On the other hand, the concave-shaped, space-saving Tresanti has a pull-out keyboard tray, two shelves, and a tiny but adequate drawer, offering enough of storage for office materials. See the picture below. FlexiSpot Comhar vs Costco: Height Range The overall unboxing experience for the Flexispot Comhar was pleasant, and it seemed like a well-designed and well-made standing desk that was worth the slightly higher price point. When fully raised the Q8 Comhar Pro stands at 49.2 inches (125cm), which should work as a standing desk height for people up to about 6’7”. At its lowest setting the desk stands 24 inches (61cm) off the ground, which is an ergonomically ideal seated desk height for someone 5’4”— while this might not seem accommodating for the shorter crowd, it is about four inches shorter than most standard desks and tables. It is not common for a standing desk to have drawers because of the weight they add to it. The heaviness, in turn, places a strain on the lifting columns. Storage drawers also create an unbalanced load situation, stressing the legs of the desk. All these increase the probability of ending up with a broken piece of furniture. Coming off the Pro Plus Standing Desk (E7) review, I didn't expect the Q8 to be much different. However, Flexispot made a few choice changes that really elevated the usability of the newer standing desk. While the build is functionally similar, the Q8 comes with a built-in wireless charger, an embedded slimline drawer, and more connectivity options at the redesigned control panel, which is integrated into the sturdy construction. The E7 I started with feels like a barebones option compared to the Q8, which does cut down on some of the customizability. They may keep storage devices, hardware parts, and even standard office supplies in their desk drawer. But why is the EG8B so expensive? Well, that has to do with the extra bells and whistles under the hood:
