See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements. Substitutions and Variations Weigh your ingredients. One of the most common baking mistakes that I see is measuring incorrectly, especially with flour. The best way to get accurate measurements every time is to weigh them with a kitchen scale. STEP 5: Press the dough into the prepared skillet. Top with extra Reese's, if you'd like. Place the skillet in the oven. Place a cookie sheet underneath it to catch any that might spill over. Bake for about 25-30 minutes for a doughy center, 5-10 minutes longer if you would like your cookie to be more done in the center. To make this cookie even more decadent, top it with scoops of your favorite ice cream and some hot fudge or caramel.
In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, mix the butter, light brown soft sugar and caster sugar together for 3 minutes until creamy and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix in. Then add the flour, salt and baking powder and mix until just combined. Finally add the chocolate chips and mix briefly to distribute them evenly.

The real beauty behind this 5-star dessert is that it can be prepped ahead of time. Mix up your dough, get it into a greased skillet, then pop it into the fridge. Bake it in any oven-safe pan. If you don’t have a cast iron skillet, no problem. The cookie dough can be baked in a regular oven-safe skillet (they just wont have the same crisp exterior that the cast iron pan bakes). To make this cookie even more decadent, top it with scoops of your favorite ice cream and some hot fudge or homemade caramel.
To make ahead: The cookie dough can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for 1-2 days or frozen for 2-3 months. Once the flour is added, don't over mix the dough. You want to only mix it until you can't see anymore flour, then stop

We will chop up some Reese's peanut butter cups and mix them into the cookie dough. If you want more of the chocolate peanut butter flavor combination try my Peanut Butter Blossoms.
