About this deal

Crash features as a playable character in Crash Team Rumble. He is in the Scorer role, which makes a Crash player's main goal collecting Wumpa Fruit and depositing them in their team's bank. His playstyle is largely the same as in It's About Time, with a few key adjustments made and new moves added to suit the game. In Warped, following the destruction of Cortex Vortex by N. Brio's gem-powered laser, the remains of it hurtles into Earth's atmosphere, destroying a temple prison containing a great evil. In Crash of the Titans, like all other characters, his design is almost completely different. His appearance is much more "ape-like" in contrast to his original appearance. His appearance changed from a rectangular mask to a more circular mask. He lost the green bags under his eyes and his goatee, and now has green leaves on his sides. He has five feathers on the top of his head, which are blue, red, yellow, blue, red. He has thin green lips and darker markings on the sides of his face, indicating sideburns. Both Crash Bandicoot and Doctor Neo Cortex appear as guest characters with their own level, Thumpin' Wumpa Islands. This level has iconic gameplay features present in previous Crash Bandicoot games. [6] Development [ edit ] In Space Bash and Snow Bash, Aku Aku can be collected as a power-up that acts as a temporary extra hit point. In Crash Bash, Crash was peacefully sleeping under a tree, only to be abducted and taken to the Hyperspace Temple where Aku Aku and Uka Uka hold their "discussions." There, Uka Uka tells him and Cortex that the masks have decided to engage in a competition to resolve the trouble between them and prove whether good or evil is superior. Aku Aku and Uka Uka can't fight against each other because the Ancients would not have allowed it, so both masks bring their players to the temple and begin the games. Crash and his sister Coco are the only people Aku Aku summons, while Uka Uka summons 6 contestants, so Aku Aku demands to take Dingodile and Tiny to join his team instead. Crash, along with his friends and foes, competes in games to gain Trophies, Crystals and Gems, necessary to bring the victory to Aku Aku or Uka Uka. Crash does not appear after his victory in the good ending. In the evil ending, after Uka Uka obtains the crystals, and with them, ultimate power, Aku Aku warns Crash and Coco to run and hide to save themselves. On June 21, 2020, the official Crash Bandicoot social media channels posted a teaser revealing the title of the next Crash Bandicoot game, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time; [68] the game was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 2, 2020, [69] and for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and Series S on March 12, 2021. [70] Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!, an endless running game for Android and iOS, was announced in July 2020, [71] after soft launching on Android in select regions in Southeast Asia on April 22, 2020 under the title Crash Bandicoot Mobile. [72] The game, developed and published by King in collaboration with Activision, was released on March 25, 2021. [73] Aku Aku is a good-hearted and peaceful being, but at the same time, he knows when to take important matters (like saving the world) seriously. He is kind and has helped Crash, Coco and Crunch throughout many of the games, as well as acting like a father to them. He is also obedient to the rules of his superiors "The Ancients", mysterious beings who strangely have never been seen. He alMoltenbrey, Karen (April 2004). "Crash Course". Computer Graphics World . In the Radical Entertainment games, Crash has an extremely limited vocabulary, preferring to speak in unintelligible gibberish; and can say words like Nina, Pancakes, and Wumpa (in the GBA version, this was extended to "Pancakes? I thought you'd never ask!"). In the Naughty Dog games, the few English words he is capable of speaking include "Whoa!", "Uh-oh" and "Boo-yah." It is implied in Crash Twinsanity that he carries fleas. He also loves Wumpa fruit as it is the main collectible in most games, and other products derived from it.

Crash was created by Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin, and was originally designed by Charles Zembillas. Crash was intended to be a mascot character for Sony to use to compete against Nintendo's Mario and Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog. Before Crash was given his name (which stems from the visceral reaction to the character's destruction of boxes), he was referred to as "Willie the Wombat" for much of the duration of the first game's production. Crash has drawn comparisons to mascots such as Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog by reviewers. His animations have been praised, while his voice has faced criticism. He has been redesigned several times throughout many games, which have drawn mixed reactions. a b "From Rags to Riches: Way of the Warrior to Crash 3". Game Informer.
