About this deal

But in Neverland, Peter's true colors begin to show. One moment, he's making Daphne's heart flutter, and the next, he's forgotten her entirely. So when Daphne stumbles into the path of Jamison Hook, the pirate son of Peter's nemesis, she lets herself get swept up in his vulgar charm, despite the warning signs. Magnolia. oh, she got butchered in this book. for the first time EVER!!! she did not get on my nerves and she was actually kind of bearable sometimes, considering that in the other books this girl was a master manipulator that somehow managed to ruin the life of every single friend she's ever had. my love’s DaisyChris deserve a whole ESSAY for how adorable they were — or would’ve been if we had more content of them just being cute *gets a murderous glint in eyes* — ugh there were two iconic scenes in this book and I loved them! 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐩𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 😭💗✨🤌 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐜 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞. I don’t understand why we were given so less of themmm!! it breaks my heart at the injustice of it all 😩 let's start with jonah and the other side characters because i HAVE to get some things off my chest: daisy’s past was just heartbreaking. it honestly left me so devastated. her mother was an awful person. daisy deserved so much better. she’s just been dealt some shitty cards.

Henry and Taura: i honestly don't care about them. he's the loser of the group, the spare Ballentine brother that we don't really need and she can't make a choice and stand by it for the life of her. let's hope they end up together so Jonah can FINALLY be free and we can move on to better things! I want to start by saying I have been reading this series since early 2022, and I have recommended it to many people. I liked MP1 and MP2, so it’s disappointing for me to say what I need to about this book.Daisy and Tiller (EYEROLL). Another couple that made no sense! YAY. If you haven’t read this book PLEASE GO and witness the way their conversations can bore a person to death! That was so fun actually, I imagined their whole dynamic at the dinner table being like a shopping list of the things going on at work/university, followed by sex and then they pushed the repeat button for a whole ass year. And we had to listen to the ramble of this for half of the book before Christian Hemmes - our dear lord and savior amen - came to the rescue. Everything gets more complicated when beautiful, broken-hearted socialite Magnolia Parks enters the scene and Julian finds himself entangled with her. Because for Julian, falling in love isn't just unwelcome - it could be deadly for everyone involved . . . Readers love Magnolia Parks Universe honestly: how did that mf even fall in love with her when all they did was spend hours naked on his desk??? does he even know her name or does he call her Tiges because he genuinely can't remember?)

I did really enjoy Daisy and Christian’s scenes, well.. some of them. Some of it was just so thrown together while it was clear Magnolia was the focus. The big love confession was filled with footnotes of what Magnolia was thinking.. like who gives a single f….about that? I did love the end scene at the hospital and it was the only scene that really felt like a progression from their first book and where I thought we’d be. I like what’s going on with his family. I liked the sex tape storyline but probably just because it was time on them and not other dead in the water stories. I'm already suffering for the way both of them are going to feel guilty about Bridget, and in some point is fair because he wasn't honest with her about what was happening in his life and she did get involved with a gang lord without thinking in the consequences. Christian - who are you and what have you done with Christian. I almost didn't recognize this new Christian. He was so mature. I honestly came into this book expecting to rag on him like I do for the previous books, but I had very few complaints. I hated how he reacted to Daisy's reaction to the sex tape, but he moaned Daisy's name so I got over it. This man was so obsessed with Daisy he switched colognes, stared at daisies, and basically thought about her nonstop. I loved him. He was truly the best character in this book (the bar is rather though I must admit). I have to say I am too much of a MagnoliaBJ girl to enjoy the relationship between Magnolia and Julian. And where were the Lost Boys??? Where were Romeo and Carmelo??? Oh yes, Carmelo and the Boys were there to emphasize that Julian is so madly in love with Magnolia. i said this before and i'm going to repeat it again: too tragic. this relationship was too much. why? because julian is getting a love interest and that girl could give him the moon and it still wouldn't mean anything because the author decided that he had to fall hopelessly in love with Magnolia and it ruined his character.

When Peter doesn't show for Daphne until she's seventeen, inexplicably full-grown and with no excuse for his tardiness, Daphne doesn't know what to think. Still, she has always been told that Peter Pan is her destiny. It's beyond choice to take his hand and leap into the stars, no matter what comes next. I feel like Jessa Hastings had the beginning and the ending of the book and then just filled the rest with Magnolia and Julian. So Christian is the best character of this series, as usual. A living and breathing and walking white flag, as usual. A victim of his supposed friends, as usual. The “”””plot twist””” of his sex tape has been the funniest part of this book. His presence has been the light at the end of the tunnel.

Jessa Hastings said that she doesn’t remember writing this book and that she obsesses about something and then writes about it and it shows. whatever, my girl Daisy was butchered, she was so dumb sometimes i had to close the book and take a deep breath because some of are actions were soooooo Magnolia coded like- please, let's all remember who this book is supposedly named after. i felt so conflicted on what to rate this book because i know if this was just a christiandaisy book i would be in love. but its not, so here we are 🫤

considering that my rating on daisy haites 1 was 5/5, one would think i went mad rating this new book THIS low and all i have to say for myself is that 1 star is for Daisy and Christian (not even their scenes could save this book i am sobbing) and one is for Jonah (love of my life i love you). I was so disappointed because I hoped and expected to be taken in by their story again and I was dead wrong. Too much Tiller for too long and I have to say.. didn’t know she hadn’t confirmed Daisy and Christian as end game. That makes me even more pissed off because Magnolia is having an entire live story play out with Julian and yet we know it’s pointless, but we have to wait YEARS to find out if Daisy and Christian make it? I would just guess yes, but the way she hates anyone other than Magnolia and BJ makes me wonder if she won’t just ruin them too so she has characters to hurt and emotions to manipulate readers. Christian… He‘s just amazing. He‘s such an interesting character and I wish we got to read more of and about him. Him and Daisy have my whole heart. They love each other so beautifully it broke my heart. We got so little of them I don’t even know what else to say. Their scenes were great and the way they talk about each other is just poetry. Growing up, Daphne always knew Peter Pan would come for her. The way he'd come for her mother, and her grandmother and Wendy before that. The Darling girls. Their stories are all the same: the forever-young boy at their window after their thirteenth birthday, and the shimmering, magical land behind a star.this was incredible. i laughed + cried (a lot, but that could just be because i was crying because i love them)
