Once again the collaboration between David Walliams and Tony Ross was absolutely perfect. Tony Ross’ illustrations added an extra dimension to David Walliams’ wonderful stories. I honestly cant wait to see what these two come out with next. In May, Ma met with publisher HarperCollins, along with Anna Chan from the Asian Leadership Collective, to discuss how “problematic” the story was. “[We] shared our personal experiences of some of the hardships we had growing up and being teased for being a BBC (British-born Chinese). Stories like Brian Wong have a role to play in normalising jokes on minorities from a young age and we want this to be removed,” she said at the time. “We were open and honest with HarperCollins. We want fairer representation to the wider ESEA community and we feel books that educate kids on diversity should be done fairly, rather than joking about harmful stereotypes.” This is a mother who is obsessed with dogs. I think obsessed is an understatement. This story id all over the place. It will take me ages to write and hours for you to read if I completely explain this so I'll try to be detailed while explaining in brief. So her husband is allergic to dogs but after a lot of explanation and pleading to her husband the husband made one condition....that her wife can only buy 1 dog so... Posy outsmarted her husband and bought the biggest breed of dog you can a TIBETAN MASTIFF!! And she treated the dog better than her own family literally at a point the dog(s) took over the entire house but I'll get to that... so one afternoon after Peaches Pooch(her daughter) and her husband came home to find ANOTHER TIBETAN MASTIFF! Posy thought that the dog needed a wife....... then........she gave birth to not one....not two....not three but.... a WHOPPING 99 PUPPIES!! I would give this story more stars again if it wasn't for the ending. I know the mother was obsessed with dogs but would you just let her go off to another island? That was kinda disturbing to me.... Pinch your nose for Peter Pong, the man with the stinkiest feet in the world… jump out of the way of Harriet Hurry, the fastest mum on two wheels… watch out for Monty Monopolize, the dad who takes all his kids’ toys… and oh no, it’s Supermum! Brandishing a toilet brush, a mop and a very bad homemade outfit…’

I started and finished this book with a smile on my face, and I had more then a few genuine laugh out loud moments. Read this to guarantee some amazing laughs. You will enjoy it by yourself as well as in sharing with the little ones around you. One- David Walliams making another addition to his 'World's Worst' series after Worst Children and Worst Teachers. Some of the teachers shouldn't even be part of The World's Worst Teachers; like the Sports Teacher, Mr Bulk, and the Head Master, Mr Phobe , who don't even rate as worse teachers, as Mr Bulk (besides telling a lot of stories about how great of an athlete he is) assists his football team in winning the trophy and Mr Phobe is simply scared of teaching children, due to some bullying incidents that he had to deal with earlier on in his career.

The change to The World’s Worst Children follows the news that Kate Clanchy is set to rewrite her Orwell prize-winning book Some Kids I Taught and What They Taught Me after criticism of her portrayal of children of colour. Her publisher Picador have not yet announced when the updated version will be published. It's a story that a very talented child could have written, and I mean this in a positive way - it's just the sort of book that comes out of the imagination of a primary school student, tapping into their interests. The description was pretty accurate to the character and the story line he plays. The story is basically about a father who is a strongman and thinks from his muscle and early uses his brain.... he names his daughter Brian which he didn't realise is a boys name and whenever he is asked any question he just says "My Brain Hurts!" This is a great story the punch line was great and I never expected him to lift the school! The thing I really liked was his colleagues helped him when it was needed that was really kind. But when he was as thin as a pancake and he went to the hospital the story ended there.... I was kinda disappointed cause I wanted to know what will happen next. They ended the story by saying that he will from now on always use his brain over his muscles. Thats the only reason I rated it a 4/5 Stars I absolutely love this series even though the characters aren't exactly the type to appeal to anyone. The stories are a similar structure to WWC, often with moral lessons and comeuppances to those who need them, and lots of chances for readers to loathe and laugh at some over-the-top stereotypes and situations.

I read this book with my 7-year-old daughter and I can't say that I enjoyed it much. Walliams appears to have created similar characters in certain stories, just giving them different subjects that they teach; like the Art Teacher, Miss Conceit, and the Drama Teacher, Miss Palaver , who both teach their classes based around themselves. One of my favourites I think, by the author. No plot to speak of, just a series of enjoyable silly stories that will have children laughing with pleasure. I don't blame this man queue are really irritating and my feet literally give up on me but I can probably go by one WITHOUT having my STANDING ON THE END, MY GLASSES STEAMING UP, MY NOSTRILS FLARING UP?, AND MY EARS FLAPPING?! I am not kidding around when I say that he went COO COO CRAZY when he sees queues. Again.... I would have given this story more if it wouldn't have been for the aunt and her teeth! WHO BITES THERE NEPHEW?! And Terry did take it too far from doing all the chaos he caused.Asian Leadership Collective also wrote to HarperCollins, asking for details of the process the book went through before it was signed off, and for information about how diverse the team who created it was. These amazing stories were illustrated by the fabulous Tony Ross, adding an extra dimension to David Walliams’ fantastic stories. I am huge fan of David Walliams’ books, I was so exited to get my hand on this book. I had high hopes for this book and as expected; it didn’t disappoint.
