About this deal

Death Wish is the conclusion of Deception Duet. It would appeal to readers who enjoy a Dark Romance.

After learning of the abuse and subjugation Landry suffered at the hands of her father during the first book, I was so delighted with how she stood up for herself to the triplets. This book was emotional and intense, especially during the first few chapters during which Landry didn't know if the new evil she'd found herself face to face with would be better or worse than the devil she'd been striving to escape for so long.

Death Wish

What happens when her father finds her? Will she survive his wrath? Will she get her happy ever after? Will she be able to keep her sister safe? Scout was all too happy to share with his brothers and behaviourally unhinged with her which lent itself to the best s3x scenes. Me Review: bbbwaaaaaaahahahahahahahahaha .... ya'll, seriously *dries tears of laughter* you ain't ready! I allow myself to fantasize about a life where there isn’t a villainous father I’m hiding from. Just me, my three assholes, and my little sister. It feels a lot like happiness. A lot like home.”

I understand this is collection of the two books in the series. What I didn’t know was that it was connected to a bigger series and it didn’t help the confusion at all. Sparrow, Sully, and the psycho Scout, under the guidance of their Morelli uncle, sends the triplets on a job to infiltrate the Croft family, but specifically Landry, the daughter of the tech magnate.I’m not new to the word wizardry that is K Webster. I have read a good number of stories written by her with all kinds of themes and tropes and every time I read a new one, I fall a little bit more in love with her brain. It is spectacular how she can take a story where you pretty much already know the darkness yet make you completely apprehensive and #twitchy getting there! She is a master at her craft, and she does it repeatedly with all her stories! I absolutely loved this incredibly unique storyline and all the characters, including Heathen (save Alex Croft)! Scout, Sully, and Sparrow are deliciously depraved and sadistically sweet. They've reigned as the Terror Triplets, using cruelty and intimidation to rule New York City society. Now they face a bigger challenge: the reclusive heiress Laundry Croft. It is their job to work their way into her life. They need to make her trust them. Even while they keep their own secrets. Each man uses her in his own way. They seduce her and manipulate her....but will they fall in love? Then they were a little happy trio of lovers at the end with her in this polyamorous relationship and I lost interest. OMG. I swear this duet is one of the best duets by this author. I have been going crazy for these triplets ever since I read them in the Cinderella trilogy but nothing could have prepared me for the marvelous way K. Webster has written them in their books.

The pacing was also good (because the book wasn't longer than it needed to be), and the was enough angst, danger and worry to keep things interesting in between the naughty bits. My heart absolutely broke for laundry. What she went through was so bad and I just wanted to hug but the woman was so strong. Looking at her, with all that sass, you can't ever tell that she had been a victim. Her strength made me love her so much and I am happy to read the ending for these amazing characters! I wasn't familiar with the Triplets as I haven't read the Cinderella trilogy, so I thrown in head first. These boys are the epitome of morally grey (gray?) characters. They intend to infiltrate Landry's father's business and nothing will stop them.I loved the first book but struggled with how nonsensical the entire scheme was with multiple brothers pretending to be one person when they were so clearly bad at it and there was no need for them to be in different places at once for the most part. And it made no sense to have identical guys running around in same locations at once. Talk about suspicious. Sparrow, Sully and Scout. The Terror Triplets. They reign over New York society with cruelty and intimidation. Will they be able to do the same with Landry Croft?
