Description

Some espresso machines such as the Gaggia Classic Pro and the Sage Bambino Plus come with both standard baskets, and pressured baskets, so the user can choose which way to go. Any real coffee lover will tell you that freshly ground coffee beans are crucial for the perfect flavor and coffee aroma. Coffee beans start going stale soon after they are ground. To get the preferred cup of coffee, you should be grinding your favorite coffee beans each time rather than choosing a store-bought pre-ground coffee.

The small and sleek shape of the DeLonghi Coffee Grinder fits snugly in any kitchen. The colour is modern, and it won’t be a huge eyesore. It has built-in cord storage, as well. You won’t struggle to store it away neatly or worry about the cord getting damaged. The sizable hopper has room for up to 120 grams of coffee beans. As a result, you can grind enough beans to make multiple cups of coffee before having to refill the hopper. To use the Mythos One again as an example, they're a couple of grand, the overall grind quality is known to be impeccable with this grinder, and this grinder will fill a double basket in around 5-6 seconds. But it doesn't achieve this speed by having small burrs powered by a super fast motor, and it could be much faster if the RPM hadn't been purposely reduced. As you can see from the photo above, there are a lot of fines, and the rest of the grinds range quite a bit in size.Clean it as many times as you want, especially if you plan on using it all the time. Most buyers have said they didn’t need to clean it often, which I like the idea of. The material lets you wipe away any old coffee residue pretty easily. Pros If you want to use an espresso machine such as the Sage Bambino Plus, Sage Barista Express, or Gaggia Classic Pro, (all of which can be used either with standard baskets or pressurised baskets) with standard baskets, then I wouldn't recommend the KG79 or any of the other similarly priced grinders. I've included the previous few paragraphs about grinding speed to give some context to this so that people don't take this purely as a positive, because in this case the fast grinding speed of this grinder is probably at least partly responsible for the negative points of this grinder, including the heat of the grinds, static, and the inconsistency of the grind, which I'll get to shortly. Grind Consistency I'd have to switch the grinder on and off multiple times before it would continue grinding for more than a second. Not every coffee has the same grind size. The DeLonghi KG79 and the DeLonghi KG89 allow you to make espressos, drip coffee, grind for percolators, French and press. Grind Settings

The machine has a ground coffee container that can hold up to 12 cups. This means that you can grind enough coffee for a large group of people without having to stop and empty the container. The container is also removable, making it easy to clean. Removable BurrEveryone can get their caffeine fix without waiting. Your friends and family will think you’re an expert coffee maker when really, it’s just a straightforward machine! Quiet and Long-Lasting Grind Wheels I've spoken about the DeLonghi coffee grinder in various other posts and YouTube videos, so I thought it was about time I actually created a De'Longhi KG79 review. De'Longhi KG79 Burr Grinder This is a VERY cheap coffee grinder. It's important that you know that if you're thinking of buying one. Please don't believe the “professional” bit. Professional or “commercial” coffee grinders cost from the several hundreds into the thousands. I think this little grinder is OK when it comes to looks. I don't think it's going to win any design awards but it's certainly not offensive in any way, and it has a nice small footprint at 13cm wide, 16cm deep, and 26cm tall. Noise Levels

As I mentioned in the nutshell description, this grinder will work with espresso machines via pressurised baskets, but for standard baskets, you're not going to be able to grind fine enough. You don’t need to guess how well ground your coffee beans are. You can take a look inside the compartment and grind it further if you need to. Same goes for the coffee beans. You’ll know when you’re running low and need to refill. I, for one, don’t like to find that mid-grind there are no beans left. Cons As I’ve mentioned, this coffee grinder can make several cups at once, and grind beans to your taste. Plus, you can store it away whenever it isn’t used. Although, I doubt that’ll be the case. What more could you want from a coffee machine? If you're reading this and you really believe a professional grinder would be available for this price, can you please go to the shop for me and get me a tin of tartan paint, a long stand, and a left handed screwdriver? Ta. Due to its positioning on the circuit board the "footprint" doesn't really matter although the lead length will

DeLonghi KG79 Review

When it comes to grinding coffee beans, the KG79 is both fast and effective. The machine can grind enough beans for a pot of coffee in just a few minutes. The resulting coffee grounds are of consistently high quality and an ideal size for brewing. Value for Money So this is definitely not a professional burr grinder, and I really don't need it needs to be marketed as such. The Niche Zero for example has a powerful motor, but that power is converted into torque via gears, which slows down the speed that the burs spin.

I can't say I think it's THE best cheap coffee grinder, there are a couple of other similarly priced burr grinders that are also worth looking at, and one in particular which is just a bit more money & I think is quite a bit better overall. For more, see: You just won't be able to grind fine enough, and even if you mod a grinder like this to grind finer, the inability to finely tune in the grind for dialing in will make it difficult for pulling shots with standard baskets.

If you are looking around your kitchen then think about a place that is easy to access and clean. Freshly ground coffee seems to get everywhere in my home! Secondly, what's with trying to turn the fact that this grinder has two burrs, into a selling point?
