This product comes with a 3 year manufacturers warranty as standard, plus an additional 2 years once registered. In a central heating system, a motorised valve is used control the flow rate of water and make sure that water is only going as of where and when it is required. The motorised valve can be used to control both the heating and the hot water. This works by controlling the flow of water from the boiler to other parts of the central heating system. There are two types of motorised valves and they come in either two-port or three-port versions. The simplest version being the two-port motorised valve, comes with two plumbing connections (in and out). On most of these valves a spring is used to hold the valve closed. When power is applied to the valve, the internally powered motor opens the valve allowing the water to flow. When the valve is fully open, a switch inside the valve then activates. This switch is normally used to activate the boiler. To close the valve, the power is removed. The spring inside will then close the valve and the internal switch gets turned off, this then turns the boiler off. A three-port valve has three plumbing connections, the flow in and two outputs. A hot water cylinder is connected to one of these outputs and a radiator to the other. Using the same principle of a two-port valve it uses a spring to hold the valve closed and when power is applied the motor open the valves allowing water to flow.These valves offer outstanding performance and high reliability to the user.
