Language: English Words: 8,193 Chapters: 1/1 Collections: 1 Comments: 19 Kudos: 88 Bookmarks: 7 Hits: 1,184 When they all get to the island as fate would have it there was a mix up with the rooms and it turns out that he and Dana would be sharing said room. But the problem was that they were only one bed in the room. He has to ask Dana if she can be his fake girlfriend since he told his ex that he was in a relationship. He was not happy with the room situation but got over it eventually. The magic of the island, peace and beautiful as put a spell on Dana which allowed her to release her inhibitions and took a chance on her attraction to Drew. They succumb to their attraction and slept together. However, she got pregnant and didn't know how to tell Drew about the baby. What will Drew do when he tells him that they're having a baby? Will he want to be in the child's life or will his issues prevent him from getting the family who will be there? Drew has more than friend feelings for Dana, and Dana feels the same about Drew, however, they both fear losing their fantastic friendship so neither have made any move, in case the other does not feel the same. Everyone around them can see that they are both head over heels with each other. While she is on the slopes, she literally runs into her childhood crush, Lucas. He still looks so good and is flirtatious. She won't act on it because she feels like he is out of her league and she doesn't have the courage at the moment to make the first move. But when her late sister leaves Milly and her friends with instructions to have a Ghost-lerette party they are ready to live it up. That's when she sees Lucas again. Everyone in the room can feel their chemistry. They have a fun night that turns spicy with a blindfold and a kiss. Milly and Lucas share a passionate night together agreeing to a one-night-stand with no strings attached. Things just couldn't be simple for the two and get complicated when her parents walk in on a shirtless Lucas. When Milly introduces them to her new boyfriend Lucas, we find out that Lucas is actually Jax (Lucas's twin brother). *Insert jaw drop emoji here*

Milly stood at the furthest edge of the gravel walk, staring in awe at the breathtaking country cottage garden. Lined with hornbeam hedge and wildflower-filled hedges, Jane Austen’s house was even more enchanting that Milly imagined. We are taken through an absolute maelstrom of feelings in this story, there are twists and turns, ex girlfriend, abandonment issues, destination wedding and lots of interaction with Dana’s large family. Self-appointed hall-monitor of life, Milly Smartt is ready to take some chances and live life balls-to-the-wall. After all, it was her sister’s dying wish for Milly to chase happy, which is the only reason she accepts a dare to kiss a random stranger in a bar. Only the stranger isn’t a stranger at all—in fact, she’s pretty sure it’s her childhood crush, Lucas Macintyre. And when one kiss turns into a passion filled night, Milly couldn’t be happier—until she discovers she slept with Jaxon Macintyre—Luca’s playboy of a twin brother.First of all, the third person pov felt extremely forced and unnatural and the narrator was SO excessively bubbly throughout the whole book. I had to skim through so many lines, even paragraphs, to get to the dialogues. Why was this much description needed? And by description I am not talking in the sense of delineating objects, places, character's appearance etc. I am talking about excruciating boring three person monologues, giving completely trivial details that added nothing to the story. Or even when they were "supposed" to do that, I couldn't give less of a crap.

Professional snowboarder and self-proclaimed bachelor, Jax Macintyre has a gold medal in one-night-stands. No fake promises, no morning after, and definitely no meeting the family. Only when Milly's parents stage a surprise visit, he's caught with his pants down—literally. He's ready to climb out the window if necessary, when Milly introduces him as his twin brother, Lucas. Even worse, she panics and, rather than come clean about their no-strings fling, she tells her parents that he's her boyfriend. Jax isn't looking for a plus-one in life, especially a too peppy, too sunshiny, hopeless romantic who wears Mr. Darcy lingerie. But when he finds himself in a logistical nightmare heading up a snowboarding competition for his family's lodge, he approaches her with a proposition. He'll go along with this faux-mance until her parents leave town and, in exchange, she'll help him plan the perfect competition.Overall, this was a super fun read with a lot of great sex scenes, enough angst to win me over, and a pretty spectacular Grand Gesture at the end. And while I did think a couple of the side plots were a bit uneven and there were a handful of spelling and grammar errors, it wasn’t enough to keep me from enjoying the story. In fact, the second in the series is slated to come out this December and will center on turbulent Kat, one of Milly’s BFFs, and her straight-laced neighbor, Nolan, who also happens to be Jax’s brother. I cannot WAIT. Faux Beau's Baby Surprise continues the Solace Sister series. This one focuses on the oldest sister, Dana, who assumed the mother role after their mom walked out on the family when they were young. It is a steamy, friends-to-lovers, forced-proximity, surprise baby romance. I think I have finally made my New Year's resolution; I want a faux beau like Jax Macintyre. I think you will too once you read this spicy rom-com by Marina Adair.

Revenge was a dish best served cold, but sometimes, it could be useful to crank up the heat. Severus Snape and Hermione Granger seemed to love each other deeply, and that’s where he’d cut: Right into that trusting love. He was nothing if not destructive. Faux Beau is a modern masterpiece, a powerful novel that can be read on its own. This novel is written by Marina Adair. She is a true storyteller, and Faux Beau is her best book. It is an epic tale of family, secrets, loss, marriage, betrayal, friendships, laughter, and regrets. Faux Beau is a heartfelt novel written with compassion and hope, reconciling the past to pave a road to happiness and second chances. The characters in this novel bring life and heart to this story, each with a distinct voice and personality. They made readers love them, they made readers sad, they made readers angry, they made readers laugh, they made readers cry, and they made readers believe in the promise of love and home.
