Toupret TX110 isn’t quite as “rapid drying” as the name suggests. In fact, you can be waiting a couple of hours on some deeper holes or if you’re working in cold conditions. That said, it is easy to work with, easy to sand and doesn’t flash through emulsion. I did have a problem once when the moisture from my emulsion made the filler swell, but I think that was down to me applying too much paint in one go. Good product. Sealants & Caulk Ready Mixed Filler Powdered Filler Repair Care Wood Fillers 2 Part Fillers Grab Adhesive Filling Knives & Scrapers To get it flush with wall surface use a sponge or decorating knife to wipe off any excess - best applied in two stages

There is a full review here, but I have only used the powder form so I can’t comment on the ready mixed sorry. Toupret joint and skim mixes up easily and goes on smoothly. It dries at a reasonable rate, sands down very well and like the rest of the Toupret range, it doesn’t flash/grin through after applying paint. It mixes nicely, sands down well and it’s reasonably priced. Do not apply the filler at temperatures below 5°C or above 35°C or at a relative humidity higher than 80% Toupret produce some great fillers, as well as the odd product that isn’t as good. One of the things Toupret seem to get right is avoiding the issue of flashing. In layman’s terms, this is where you make a repair to, say a wall using filler, then proceed to paint it, only to have the emulsion over the filler dry a different colour to the rest. There can be a couple of causes, but that is a different topic altogether. I've decided to try and see if Toupret Fibacryl would improve things. I have a 310ml tube of the stuff ready, I am just trying to decide how best to apply it.

With a bit of practice, you can make it so smooth that no visitor will realise you have replastered that area! (Only you will see, because you know)
