Description

The layout of the show was simple, having the fire station, Sam's House, Dilys Price’s shop and Bella’s café all on a turntable, with doors, ladders and windows connected to each other. On the Cover sleeve, BBC Video forgot to include Lost Ring in the episode listings, however, images from that episode are seen on the cover art. The fire fighters uniforms that were used in the show were supplied with thanks to the Hampshire Fire Service. The web link menu used on this DVD was later reused on the Saves the Day!, Let it Snow and Fun Run DVDs. NOTE: This is the only Fireman Sam DVD to feature all three versions of the show. (The Original, Series 5 and CGI.)

The Cover sleeve features a promo image from the episode, ' Lost Ring', despite the fact that 'Lost Ring' does not feature on the tape. During the National touring of the show, Joanne Skuse would switch her role from Sarah to Norman Price in later shows.At the start of the tape, there is an advertisement for BBC Toybox magazines and the videos ' Toybox 1' and 'The Best of Noddy'. The 1993 re-release has a 5 second slide advertising videos 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 plus The Very Best of Fireman Sam. When the Jupiter prop was made, the hose was blue, but when Fireman Sam in action came out, the hose was changed to a light brown colour. Earlier releases of this DVD in Australia had a Full Size Amaray DVD Case and a transparent G classification logo. However, just after the Australian Classification logos were changed, it was re-released with a carry case and the new classification logo, while the disc is the exact same. The Original 1990 release has a slide advertising The Hero Next Door, Lost Cat, Sam's Day Off and Snow Business.
