This compact air pump is made of an ultra-durable and high-quality ABS plastic material, which actually makes the pump quite sturdy during its transportation. Either way, it’s a fantastic light for camping, and it makes inflating camping mats in the dark a lot easier.
The Tiny Pump X is currently available in three (x3) different color models: White, Blue, and Gray (these only change the pump’s top-side color). I didn’t know they could make electric pumps this small. It’s going to be a great addition to my camping gear.Using the pump to fill up any inflatable items that need to be inflated is also quite easy, and that’s because the pump features both one Safety Net Inflation Port at the side (close to the top) and one Safety Net Deflation port (perfectly centered right at the top of the unit). It has a small battery that doesn’t need a lot of power to be charged. Which means you can charge the Flextail with pretty much any USB port.
As mentioned at the beginning of the article, this is a battery-powered air pump. That being said, the Tiny Pump X comes equipped with a built-in 1300mAh Lithium-Ion battery that ultimately offers the pump around 15 to 20 minutes of continuous use, which basically let you fill just a bit more than 10 outdoor air mattress, or to compress dozens of storages bags in one single charge. It’s a portable rechargeable electric air pump that’s not much bigger than an egg. It weighs hardly anything and it actually works. I liked it a lot when I was using the light at night and I recommend getting one if you are going to be taking the Flextail camping. Other than the pump’s two built-in inflation and deflation nozzles (its Self-Contained Safety Net Inflation Port and Safety Net Deflation Port), the pump’s included five nozzle accessories consist of a 15.8 mm Small-Caliber Air Nozzle (mainly used for inflatable accessories with smaller valves), a 20 mm Large-Caliber Air Nozzle (mainly used to fill up inflatable air beds / mattresses), a 6 mm Sharp Air Nozzle (used mainly to inflate Swimming Rings and other Inflatable Toys), a 25.6 mm Rubber Air Nozzle (which can be mainly used to fill most Outdoor Air Mattresses), and a 25.5 mm Vacuum Nozzle that can be used with the pump’s built-in Safety Net Deflation Port to deflate Vacuum Storage Bags, which you can ultimately bring with you to save you some extra space while you’re traveling. While a regular vacuum is more powerful than the Flextail Tiny Pump, the portable aspect is more important for this feature.Also, because of the amount of air it takes to fill an entire board, it would take forever with the tiny pump. One way to avoid the work is to get a super thin camping mat that doesn’t require much air, but you give up a lot of comfort. As stated earlier, the pump’s USB-C Charging Port can be easily found right at the bottom of the unit (very close to its base). The pump’s USB-C Charging Port features a Power Input value of 5.0V (0.6 A). It is water resistant but not waterproof. So it’s ok to use in the rain, but don’t let it sit in water.
