About this deal

Annual 8: Not collected Annual 8 comes before #310. #310 is an Infinity War tie-in – see Marvel Universe Events: Infinity War for collection information apart from Daredevil collections. Around this time Daredevil makes guest appearances in New Avengers #31-34 (mostly a non-speaking participant), Superior Spider-Man Team-Up #1, Trial of The Punisher #2, Deadpool Annual 1, Avengers A.I. #7, Superior Spider-Man Team-Up #9-10, and Superior Foes of Spider-Man #9-10.

Daredevil (1998) #1-15, #½, Daredevil: Father (2004) #1-6, material from Marvel Knights Double-Shot (2002) #1 Daredevil (2011) #28-36, Daredevil (2014) #1-18, #1.50, #0.1, #15.1, Indestructible Hulk (2013) #9-10 Anne Nocenti’s run on Daredevil was one of the first by a female writer on a major Marvel character, and also regarded by fans with nearly as much reverence as Miller’s preceding run. With Bill Sienkiewicz. It's a fine tale of the Kingpin. Sienkiewicz uses a pretty muted pallete which is unusual for him.

Success!

This issue starts with young Miller experimenting with one of his future tropes: narration by tv screens! After #605 and before the final arc, in Defenders (2017) #7-9, Despicable Deadpool (2017) #298 & 300, after Infinity Countdown: Daredevil & #605 in Amazing Spider-Man (2018) #1, Deadpool (2018) #2, Defenders (2017) #10, Hunt For Wolverine: Weapon Lost (2018) #1-4 & Hunt For Wolverine: Dead Ends (2018) #1, Incredible Hulk (1968) #717. I won't spoil anything despite this being old but the amount of world building, chaos, and sadness this book contains is awesome. Even if the middle is near perfection I still think the ending of this Omnibus holds up extremely well too. Getting close to the end Matt becomes more joking, but not over the top, and it's refreshing. The fights can be brutal as hell, but also over the top and silly like Stiltman fight. The very last issue too is great, and a good deconstruction on superheroes.

Daredevil (1964) #1-41, Daredevil Annual (1967) #1, Fantastic Four (1961) #73, material from Not Brand Echh (1967) #4Matt Draper, a comics-focused YouTuber who likes to analyse every bit of Daredevil lore as if it was Dostoevsky, has this video on the story. So watch that if you want to hear about its themes: crime and redemption, salvation through love, perdition through loss. Whatever.

Thus concludes the epic Mark Waid era on Daredevil!
