I owned this for a hot minute. I ended up swapping it away because of how similar it was to Armani Code. Think of something along the lines of Armani Code "White". Where Armani Code is dark, syrupy, and a bit dense, Pi Neo is cool, fresh, and clean. It's baby powder clean with some woods and citrus accords and their (Pi Neo & Armani Code) openings are quite similar. Although not listed in the notes, I get benzoin (which always reminds me of lighter version of vanilla) because of how lightly sweetened it is. It also has nothing to do with its older brother Pi neither. They aren't even in the same vein in my opinion. Pi Neo is generic but different in it's own right. I am particularly intrigued by this fragrance, even though it isn't what I'd call unique. This isn't really sexy, in my opinion it's a nice, cuddly and casual fragrance. I feel that the summer version isn't too far from the original path of it's predecessor. This, in composition, is very, very, very smooth, even smoother than it's father. I got Pi a few days ago and wore it today and already it got me a lot of compliments so far 4 and counting.

Definitely for fall and winter, for a cooler or/and rainy day. I have a vintage bottle with a small Pi logo on the bottom of the bottle and the performance is great. 12+ hours easily. Very persistent. The newer batches aren't that strong but I think you'll still have decent performance with them. The smell is basically the same, since it's essentially benzoin and coumarin. Code Profumo by Giorgio Armani is the ideal winter cologne. You can also use it during fall, but I wouldn’t recommend wearing it during the hotter seasons. It is also more suitable for afternoon events than daytime events.Pi Neo is a fragrance that is suitable for summer, a romantic evening next to a fireplace, or any other intimate moment. It is an inoffensive, lemony powdery, cologne that has that mass appeal, yet remains quiet and modest. It does its thing in places where you don't want your fragrance to make noise, especially on hot summer days. Concocted by Givaudan’s Antoine Lie, Pi Neo has top notes of Italian bergamot and mandarin orange, a heart of cedar and patchouli and a base of amber and vanilla. As well, each of the accords includes a patented, futuristic note. The top note carries Toscanol, an anise-like ingredient intended to give the fragrance energy. In the heart, Safraleine is intended to enrich the woody accord and to add hints of leather, spice and tobacco. The base of the fragrance has Cosmone, which lends a fluidity and hint of ambergris to the scent. Acqua Essenziale Blu is a soft, minimalist, reserved take on blue fragrances. Acqua Essenziale is a dense chalky cologne that elevates the mood of anyone that gets a whiff.

I loved Pi Neo's scent at first sniff. It is a cologne that I can't compare to anything else, very unique. I layer with the Shower Gel (which is excellent... very woody in a steamy shower) and use the Pi Neo after-shave balm, and then spray the EDT all over. It's not very strong, I need to spray a lot on. The opening lasts about half an hour then it moves in closer, and softer. In cooler weather the opening lasts about an hour or more, then close. An EDP in this would be so much better. Now that you are well-versed regarding the ins and outs of Givenchy Pi, let’s find out which colognes are the best dupes of this iconic scent. It's not as generic as some people may think but in my opinion it does fall short of the greatness of some other Givenchy scents. Cosmone introduces rich and intensive musk accords, which decorate the whole composition with elegant aromas. This biologically decomposive molecule increases volume of environment-friendly chemical components, and it was invented in the house of Givaudan.To my nose, this fragrance smells like a very aromatic/sweet/vanilla. This kind of smell is a fresh take on gourmand. This smells very elegant and great for formal wearing. The Almond, benzoin, and vanilla in this fragrance are the key main players. The longevity is incredible too on this. I can smell it on me all day and it will still be rich and powerful.

Only issue is performance with the newer formulation. It will still project at arm's length if you spray enough. I'm doing at least 10 sprays and 2 to 4 top up sprays later in the day. Performance on me I would say is 4 to 6 hours then it's just a skin scent Givenchy Pi Neo is cooooool, chilling, breathtaking. I'm surprised there isn't condensation on the bottle. I really do think there is a reason why this came out in the month of september because I get a feeling of cool air when I smell this.

Fourreau Noir by Serge Lutens is another dupe of Givenchy Pi that I feel did justice to the scent. However, the layers in this scent are much less apparent, and it is relatively simple but likable nonetheless. Lemon is apparent as is bergamot, giving freshness and disassociating from the "gourmandy" sweet fragrances. A foggy out of focus green accord is present only when you look for it. I can't place what it is, but if i would have to guess i would say... Citronellal with a hint of Galbex 183??
