I was really impressed with the Goo Shifters range. I thought the change in texture of the filling was pretty amazing. I’d be glad to give these as a gift to my nephews and I know a few more will be on Greg’s Christmas list (he’s collecting them). It was such a fun surprise to find that our Hero of Goo Jitzu looked and felt completely different a few hours after we crushed the core. She struggled slightly more to crush the red core than my son but once she managed it she was delighted to see Scorpius turn a darker purple.Under the stretchy character's chest is a core (capsule) that when crushed changes the goo that flows within the toy's body to "Power them up" and make their goo glow! He also enjoyed the aspect of crushing the core and activating the goo formation.They still have the fun stretchy and gooey element that my kids love but they also have a brand new inner core. Like previous Marvel inspired Goo Jit Zu, kids can squeeze them and see their gooey bodies move and stretch. Heroes of Goo Jit Zu Goo Shifters are a gooey way for kids to play with no mess. Both my children loved the new “Crush The Core” Heroes of Goo Jit Zu Goo Shifters. It adds a great new interactive element which my nine-year-old adored and my twelve-year-old announced as ‘cool’ an extremely high compliment from this pre-teen. The core is a squishy ball inside the middle of the Goo Shifter that needs to be crushed to release the goo formation. Before you crush the core, the toys look (and sometimes feel) totally different. Crush the Core! Crushing the core take a bit of effort, so don’t worry, you have no chance of doing it accidentally. Ours took a little bit of squeezing, until a blue liquid burst out and changed the colour of the filling. My daughter loves a good action hero battle and usually has to do quite a lot of persuading to get her twelve-year-old brother to join in. The core, a small squishy ball in the middle of the Heroes, contains the character’s powers and needs to be crushed to active their “Goo Formation”– changing the look of the character.

We started Liquid Gold Pantaro which started out as a light yellow with a blue core. Once my son crushed the core he filled with a gold liquid which had a magical-looking shimmer when moved. Not only did they change Scorpio’s look but also gave him a new feel. To say my daughter was excited when she noticed this would be an understatement.
