The ending... not only the "what" but the ending with Ema? Holy shit.... loved it. Totally out of "left field". This was the most un-Harlan Coben book by Harlan Coben I think I have read, which isn’t a bad thing. I like it when an author can take me by surprise by completely changing up their vibe and giving me something that feels unique to them, yet remains in their wheelhouse.

I have been a huge Harlan Coben fan for years and I adore everything about this series. While I was excited to sit down and read this book, I was also a bit nervous about it. Would it have the same magic as the earlier books? Would the characters have the same appeal now that they are a bit older? Can Win and Myron still solve half the world's problems? I am happy to report that the answer is yes, yes, and yes (okay that might be stretching it a bit).
