About this deal

In 2023, the Japanese edition of Win, translated by Toshiki Taguchi, was nominated for the Mystery Writers of Japan Award for Mystery Fiction in Translation. [21] [22] Films and TV series [ edit ] You live among this ridiculous wealth and you get lost. You worry about nonsense like spirituality and inner health and satisfaction and relationships. You have no idea what it is like to starve, to watch yourself turn to bones.” The Woods follows a man hunted by a twenty year old mystery: His sister and three friends entered derelict woods. Two bodies were discovered. Two, including his sister were not. He lives every day with the questions: What happened to her? Will I see her again? Cowles, Gregory (March 29, 2013). "Inside the List". The New York Times. ISSN 0362-4331 . Retrieved March 27, 2022.

Sí le falta ir más al grano, no dar tantos rodeos y explicar las mismas cosas veinte veces. También me ha dejado con la sensación de que hay cabos sueltos, hechos que no han terminado de encajarme con el resto de la trama y un final agridulce.Sarah Hughes (March 7, 2016). "Harlan Coben on 'The Five' for Sky, his obsessive nature, and missing his friend David Foster Wallace". The Independent. Archived from the original on May 9, 2022 . Retrieved May 9, 2016. Overall, this had a complex plot and was suspenseful at times. Most reviewers have enjoyed this one much more than I did. 3.5 stars rounded down to 3 stars. The pace was too slow. What really happened ten years ago? A cover-up? Guilt. Torture. A twisted scheme? The consequences of that day so long ago.

Did a Ghost Writer do this one? The dialogue between FBI Agents is ridiculous and get ready for word fillers galore! Want to know every burger on the menu? No worries you’ll get them all. Things get regurgitated like he was 5 years in prison, yep we got that the first time. I cannot believe so many reviewers are giving this 5 stars. According to some reviewers he pulls off a disaster now and then so I think this is one of those.Tal es la desesperación de no saber cuál fue el paradero de su otra hija, Camille, aquel verano de hace dos décadas. An innocent father serving life for the murder of his own son receives evidence that his child may still be alive, and must break out of prison to find out the truth in #1 New York Times bestselling author Harlan Coben’s latest breathtaking thriller. What happened to Rhys Baldwin? Myron and Win delve deeper. They are about to shatter all, for the truth about these two young boys. One boy comes home. Where is the other?

The ending... not only the "what" but the ending with Ema? Holy shit.... loved it. Totally out of "left field". This was the most un-Harlan Coben book by Harlan Coben I think I have read, which isn’t a bad thing. I like it when an author can take me by surprise by completely changing up their vibe and giving me something that feels unique to them, yet remains in their wheelhouse.

a b c "Bouchercon World Mystery Convention: Anthony Awards Nominees". Bouchercon . Retrieved April 20, 2012. Coben's writing is fast-paced and engaging, and he does a great job of building tension and keeping the reader guessing. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and the book delves into themes of grief, guilt, and the power of memory. The plot is full of twists and turns, and the resolution is both satisfying and surprising. The suspenseful story leads to a dramatic denouement that I never saw coming. Very good mystery, recommended to fans of the genre. The woods is a well-beloved book by my friends on GR and a popular one too. I really liked it... at first. Actually, until 80% I was pretty sure it's a solid 4 stars book. Now after reading the end, I'm still debating whether I should give it 2 or 3 stars. Why? I hated it.

I absolutely loved this book! I feel like I have been waiting for this book forever. Maybe not waiting for it...hoping for it because I didn't know if we would see any more books in the Myron Bolitar series. I have been a huge Harlan Coben fan for years and I adore everything about this series. While I was excited to sit down and read this book, I was also a bit nervous about it. Would it have the same magic as the earlier books? Would the characters have the same appeal now that they are a bit older? Can Win and Myron still solve half the world's problems? I am happy to report that the answer is yes, yes, and yes (okay that might be stretching it a bit). Coben has done it again with this fast-paced, smart thriller.”— Library Journal(starred review) on Fool Me Once
