About this deal

Many of the deodorants below are fragrance-free and so anyone can use them. If you’re looking for some travel gifts for men, this can be your cue. While this deodorant may be of good quality, it’s too bulky for travel. Why Buy a Natural Travel Size Deodorant? All humble deodorants are cruelty free. Only their “vegan & sensitive skin” line of deodorants is vegan. Their original formula has beeswax in it so it’s not considered vegan. Humble Deodorant Where To Buy? I was impressed with how smoothly the product glided on. It didn’t tug on my skin. Even though the deodorant was soft, there was barely any residue left over. I usually apply two or three swipes.

No stains: Nothing’s worse than a deodorant showing up on your fresh white T-shirt. Thankfully, that did not happen here. Whatever deodorant did end up on my T-shirts seemingly washed out cleanly and clearly. I got the Bergamot & Ginger deodorant in the original formula (with baking soda) in the plastic-free container. This was my first time using a plastic-free deodorant so I always had the impression that these containers were hard to use. This vanilla coconut deodorant has an amazing scent and works wonderfully at keeping you odor-free. Made from only the best natural ingredients, this organic deodorant for men and women will have you smelling great on even the busiest travel days. Doesn’t prevent sweating or fight body odor at the bacterial source, making it less than ideal for someone seeking total drynessThe official brand name of Humble deodorant is called Humble Brands so I’ll be referring to that throughout this review. Items I Got From Humble As imagined, the deodorant was easier to use since you’re able to twist the piece at the bottom to get more product. Also, the cap is shut tight so it doesn’t fall off easily. Scent-wise, I really love it. The bergamot scent is really strong and the ginger just adds a tiny bit of spice to it. Overall, it has a very citrusy smell. If you love citrus, I bet you’ll like the scent of this one. Scent: Fragrance-free | Longevity: May not require reapplication | Format: Roll-on deodorant | Ingredients: Contains essential oils, vegetable glycerin, aloe Humble deodorant doesn’t have aluminum. They’re all aluminum-free deodorants – yay! Is humble deodorant vegan and cruelty free?

Crystal deodorants last for a long time, I used a travel size crystal deodorant for a few months, but I could go on for over a year very easily! Personally, I think Humble Deodorant is totally worth it. I feel really safe using Humble because they have the smallest ingredient list out of all the deodorants I’ve seen. Each ingredient is not toxic to your skin. These are the products I got from Humble Brands. For this post, I’ll just be reviewing the deodorants. I might do a separate Humble soap review later! I love it when I see simple ingredient lists like this. They only have 4 main ingredients in all their deodorants plus essential oils and botanicals. I’m happy to see that all these ingredients are safe to use and gentle on the skin!

Finally, coconut oil, which usually acts as a skin conditioner in natural deodorants, may also cause irritation or an allergic reaction thanks to certain ingredients commonly added to it, Mayra Maymone, MD, a researcher at the University of Colorado dermatology department, tells SELF. She adds that lichen extract is a lesser-known plant-derived ingredient that may offer antibacterial benefits, but can similarly lead to skin issues. I got the lemongrass & sage and patchouli & copal. Both had a very earthy smell to it. I normally like that but it just didn’t stand out to me like the bergamot & ginger and Moroccan rose. This is really where Humble shines. The base of the deodorants are made with the following simple, recognizable ingredients. for the planet: They’re a member of 1% for the planet, which means they donate 1% of their profits to a social organization. After trying the Bergamot & Ginger and Morrocan Rose deodorants, I can truly say – Humble deodorant actually works!

Scent: Unscented | Longevity: Long-lasting | Format: Roll-on | Ingredients: Contains AHAs and hyaluronic acid Humble Brands has been around since 2015 and was started by Jeff Shardell in his home kitchen. Now, his team has grown to close to 40 people. The brand not only sells deodorant but also has a line of natural soaps, and lip balms. But with that said, I do like to take a look at a product’s EWG rating just to see what they think. This small 40g crystal deodorant is a great alternative for anyone looking for an unscented natural deodorant. One application of this travel size unscented deodorant will keep you odor-free for around 24 hours, all without the use of chemicals like aluminum.

Curious to learn more about our two deodorant formulas?

Soft Texture: The texture is softer than most other deodorants I’ve tried. But it doesn’t leave much residue so I’m okay with it. Wild-Harvested Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax: This is commonly used in skin care products and is highly unlikely to cause irritation. Cera Alba (Beeswax): Beeswax is a safe ingredient and it’s highly unlikely to cause irritation. It’s really good for moisturizing as well. I normally don’t sweat much except at the gym or during hot weather seasons. So applying once per day is more than enough for me. It’s easy to re-apply if you’re someone who tends to sweat more. In addition to dermatitis, acne isn’t out of the question, especially if you’re using a deodorant that contains coconut oil or another type of vegetable oil. These ingredients, Dr. Vashi says, are occlusive, meaning they form a protective barrier over the top layer of the skin. On one hand, coconut oil’s occlusive properties make it a great moisturizer; on the other, they make it highly comedogenic, or pore-clogging. When pores get clogged, breakouts can easily follow. If you’re acne-prone and trying a natural deodorant, it’s certainly possible that you’ll encounter a rogue armpit pimple.

For testing, I made this my primary daily deodorant for two weeks. I also skipped a shower day on the first weekend and again on the other weekend to see how the deodorant held up in extended hours and to test the effectiveness of re-applying. Magnesium Hydroxide: This is essentially salt and it’s used to replace baking soda in deodorant. It’s better for sensitive skin because it’s less likely to cause irritation than baking soda. So don’t worry if it’s not working for you right away – your body might just need a bit of adjusting to do. Amazing Scents: The two Humble deodorant scents I tried were some of the best deodorant scents I’ve tried. The top of the deodorant is rounded so I found it easier to apply than the other one I shared above. Like I said above, the texture also felt slightly harder than the other one. So I felt like I didn’t need to be as gentle when applying it on.Off the bat, I’ve got to say I love the rose scent even more than the Bergamot and Ginger. That’s probably because I really love floral scents . The scent is very subtle but very fresh and sweet. So, in this guide, I help you navigate through all the different things to take into consideration when looking for not only the best natural deodorant for women and men but also the perfect travel deodorant size. Clean Ingredients: Only has minimal and safe ingredients in their deodorants. Is aluminum free and has no talc, parabens, SLS, synthetic fragrance, or artificial colors Spoiler: Humble deodorant is now one of my favorite deodorant brands and it’s the one I reach for everyday without thinking. I’ve tried Schmidt’s and Native Deodorant and I prefer the Humble much more. Humble deodorant has baking soda in its original formula. They also have baking soda free deodorants in the “vegan & sensitive skin” line.
