Hydromol Cream contains a naturally occurring moisturising agent as well as oils, which prevent moisture loss from the skin. This helpsto relieve itch, lubricate and soften the skin. By smoothing and softening the skin moisturisers can increase the absorption of other medicines that are applied to the skin. This can be useful in conditions such as eczema because it improves the ability of other medicines, such as corticosteroid creams, to penetrate the skin and reduce inflammation. Reporting suspected adverse reactions after authorisation of the medicinal product is important. It allows continued monitoring of the benefit/risk balance of themedicinal product. Overdose The active ingredient in Hydromol cream is sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate which is a humectant, a type of moisturiser that works by attracting water from the air and deeper layers of the skin increases the water content in the upper layers of the skin and by keeping the skin hydrated. Is Hydromol cream safe for use on children? Not applicable. Hydromol Cream is for topical use only. 5. PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES 5.1. Pharmacodynamic Properties

If you're using Hydromol ointment to wash with, use it just as you would soap or shower gel. If you're using it as a bath additive, melt some of the ointment in some warm water in a small container and add this to the bath water. After washing, the skin should be patted rather than rubbed dry to avoid rubbing the oil off the skin. Hydromol cream contains the active ingredient sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate.
