Tips to help you capture that purrrfect paw print…

It is often easier to take paw prints from dogs when they are calm and relaxed after being taken out for a pee. Recently we have been looking at ways to improve and add even more value to our popular inkless paw print kits. Our inkless paw print kits now come with 2 A4 sheets of inkless paper as standard so you have plenty of room to capture lots of your furbaby’s precious paw prints. These inkless paw print kits have been successfully used with a variety of pets including; kittens, cats, puppies, dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters and mice. There are likely a few other animals that you could use these kits for too. If your pet has very furry paws please try to carefully trim the fur yourself or book your pet in at the groomers. Ok, so you have a treasured pet or three and would like to capture their unique paw prints to keep forever. You could try using an ink pad and some paper at home, but I think you can imagine how that would likely end up!!! Yes, you guessed it, ink paw prints all over your house and probably all over you too!!This is particularly helpful if your pet is very bouncy & excited or not in a good mood! Simply try again when they are calmer and happier.

However, taking your dog’s paw prints yourself can be a fun DIY project and bonding experience. There are several ways to do it.

If your pet has particularly furry paws you’ll find it easier to take a paw print after their paws have had a trim if that’s possible. For example, plan to take your dog’s paw prints after a visit to the groomers. Inkless wipes are very safe but we do advise wiping your pet’s paw with a baby wipe/damp cloth after. These inkless paw print kits have been successfully used with a variety of pets including; kittens, cats, puppies, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, a hamster and mice. There are likely a few other animals that you could use these kits for too like rats. Some manufacturers sell dog paw print kits that can help you get a cast of your dog’s paws. If your dog has recently passed away, some cremation and memorial services will take a paw print for you as a keepsake of your precious pet.
