Description

We must edit individual samples (“sounds” or sound files) from our continuous audio recordings (cut/trim silence + fade-in/fade-out + normalization) with sample (audio) editor such as Audacity, Wavosaur, SoundForge, or many DAWs which come with built-in (integrated) audio editing capability today. STAGE 3: Sample Mapping Comment: After configuring the Korg NanoKontrol2, I ran into one issue where my main MIDI keyboard was not triggering any notes in Cubase, even though the MIDI activity meter was responding in Cubase. What I did to fix this was the following: KORG “scenes” are individual presets containing all note midi mappings for each individual pad that you can load into your nanoPAD2 via KORG Kontrol Editor Software to any Scene bank you wish (1,2,3 or 4). In the event that Korg offers an updated or upgraded version of the Licensed Program to you at any time, Korg’s obligation (and that of its distributors and dealers) to support previous versions of the Licensed Program shall cease 28 days following such updated or upgraded version being made available to you. The Korg NanoPad2 is a compact, slimline MIDI controller that comes equipped with 16 dynamic performance pads that are velocity-sensitive, as well as an X/Y touchpad and, is highly-portable making it a great companion for traveling musicians and music producers. The compact design is feature-filled with four banks of pad assignments giving you excellent versatility and makes it perfect for both studio and on-stage applications.

Also, you can use 100% free alternatives such as Audacity or Wavosaur. 4. BlipInteractive NanoStudio (Windows version 1.42) Supported Computer: Apple Macintosh with USB port, satisfying the operating requirements of Mac OS X or Apple Macintosh with PowerPC supported Support services such as technical support or upgrade support for this product are provided according to the support service policies of Korg’s distributors applicable in each country. We must load and map our individual samples (sound files) in our software synth (TRG drum module in NanoStudio, for example). You agrees that the express obligations and warranties made by Korg in this Agreement are (so far as is permitted by law) in lieu of and to the exclusion of any other warranty, condition, term, undertaking or representation of any kind, express or implied, statutory or otherwise, relating to anything supplied or services provided under or in connection with this Agreement including (without limitation) any warranty as to the condition, quality, performance, merchantability or fitness for purpose of the Licensed Program and the Services or any part of them.

Warranty Info

Korg furthermore disclaims all responsibilities for direct, derivative, collateral or consequential damages caused by the use of or the inability of using the Third Party Software (including but not limited to damage of data, lost commercial profit, interruption of work, lost commercial information), regardless of the degree of damages, and even if Korg was aware of the possibility of such damages in advance. All references to the Licensed Program shall mean the object code only of the program(s) comprising the Licensed Program. If supplied in conjunction with any Korg instrument or equipment, such Third Party Software shall only relate to the non-essential functions of such instrument or equipment. The original nanoSeries turned out to be nifty companions for Apple's iPad, and this holds true. Apps that support Core MIDI (eg, GarageBand and Akai SynthStation) should work just fine. The little pad controller with big attitude! The Korg nanoPAD2 features 16 velocity sensitive pads making it great for entering drum beats, triggering samples and composing electronic music. Whether you need a compact live trigger for samples, or you're after a tool you can use so you can produce on your laptop on the move, the Korg nanoPAD2 is part of an essential mix of controllers no musician with a laptop should be without!

Korg, in no event, will be liable for the direct, derivative, collateral or consequential damage caused by the use of or the inability of using the Licensed Program (including but not limited to damage of data, lost commercial profit, interruption of work, lost commercial information), regardless of the degree of damages, and even if Korg was aware of the possibility of such damages or the possibility of a claim for damage from a third party in advance. The 16 velocity-sensitive performance pads are highly responsive to your touch and realistically conveys all the subtle nuances of your performance which ensures your drum patterns and grooves will be full of life, by switching between the four banks of scenes you can have up to 64 different pad assignments. Connecting to your computer is an easy process, simply connect the supplied USB cable to the MIDI controller and your computer, and you have a highly-portable music production system. Both power and MIDI data is sent down the same USB connection giving you a clean, efficient workspace. The sixteen velocity-sensitive pads provide excellent response to your fingertips, and also realistically convey the playing feel to your sequencer or DAW software, ensuring that your drum parts will be full of life. By switching between the four scenes, you can experience 64 different pad assignments. Please be aware that this service may be modified or terminated at any time by the Company without specific notice.Korg provides no warranty in relation to any Third Party Software supplied and all warranties whether express or implied as to the condition, quality, performance, merchantability or fitness for purpose of the Third Party Software or any part of the same are (in so far as may be permitted by law) hereby excluded.

Nothing in this agreement shall affect the statutory rights of any person dealing with Korg as a consumer. Below are couple of presets which can be used with TRG module in NanoStudio (used in our video tutorial), or ordinary piano keyboard (to play simple melodies, chords etc. on chromatic instruments). In its standard mode, the X/Y pad transmits CCs; in Touch Scale mode, the X axis instead sends notes while the Y controls note length. Thus you can play musical patterns and phrases, much like on Korg's Kaossilator series. When I was setting the NanoKontrol up initially (the wrong way), it was responding to input on the meter but wasn't doing anything to the actual program. After setting it up properly, I also get the activity on the meter but now it functions as it should. It has some cool features like the touchpad you can use for arpeggiating the drums, although it's mainly a joke feature. The arpeggiating is within the pads and isn't synced to MIDI so the arpeggiated patterns aren't synced to the tempo of the song you're playing and you can't change the arpeggiation tempo anyway as far as I know.

Korg shall not be obliged to provide support services for any Third Party Software supplied (whether relating to operating methods, defects, or otherwise). New Gate Arp function creates tempo-synced musical phrases for creative performance and recording potential If Third Party Software has been supplied (whether in conjunction with any Korg instrument or equipment, or as a stand-alone product) a notice to that effect will be contained with or on the disk supplied and in such circumstances Korg shall be deemed to be acting as the agent only of the supplier of such Third Party Software. In the event that Third Party Software is supplied, you agree to be bound by and to observe any terms and conditions relating to the use of such Third Party Software.

I am a bit worried about the sturdiness. It's good to lay the pads flat on the table. I feel like if they're uneven, the whole thing bends when you hit the middle pads. Korg's own iElectribe and iMS20 apps sport a 'nano 2 native' mode, which will assign the controls appropriately when you plug in a nanoPad. Just be sure to disable this if you want your custom mapping to remain! You may not duplicate, alter, modify, rent, lease, resell, assign, loan, sub-license, distribute the whole or part of the Licensed Program, or make derivative works based on what is contained in the Licensed Program. (However, it is not included in this restriction that you create derivative works based on the data file(s).) There are four bank select buttons, making a total of 64 'virtual' pads. With each able to trigger up to four notes at once (ie, chords), the nanoPad has melodic potential aplenty. Editor's choice

The X-Y pad can be used to control multiple synthesizer parameters. In addition, the new "Touch Scale" function lets you intuitively play phrases on the X-Y touchpad, just as on the Kaossilator. You can choose from sixteen different scales, and specify the root key and note range to ensure that your performance stays within your song. The "Gate Arp" function, borrowed from the Kaossilator Pro, transmits note data based on tempo; Tap tempo and tempo sync are supported. Combined with the Touch Scale, the Gate Arp allows you to play tempo-synchronized phrases and rhythms simply by stroking the X-Y pad or playing the pads.
