The hood Wu wears as a baby resembles Wyldstyle's from The LEGO Movie, while the unhooded version he wears as a child resembles Wyldstyle's unhooded version as well. Explaining to Mezmo why they were heading to the Golden Peaks, Garmadon says, "What good would turning Ninjago into my own image be when that victory would be fleeting?" He is referring to the fact that Lloyd would ultimately defeat Garmadon if he was given the opportunity to reach his True Potential, which Garmadon planned to prevent by forging the Mega Weapon.

In 70643 Temple of Resurrection, Baby Wu is included, but it is not written on the box and he is mentioned only in the description of the set as a mysterious baby. Wu faces Pythor in the disconnected front car of the Serpentine Express , attempting to stop him from reaching Ouroboros to unleash the Great Devourer.

Spinjitzu

Even before Morro, Aspheera learned Spinjitzu from Wu. Later Misako and the ninja also learned it from him. After the sacrifice of his brother, Master Wu is once again the ninja team’s only leader. He has always tried to prepare them for the day when he too might be gone, and that day unexpectedly arrives! He perceives the threat from Clouse and travels to the Ancient Library of Domu to discover what the ghost is seeking. Wu uncovers the tale of Nadakhan but only in time to be trapped by the Djinn in the Teapot of Tyrahn. After confronting the Overlord on the Crystal Island, he was blasted off the island, but was able to regain consciousness and take flight.

After Vangelis reveals he's the Skull Sorcerer and has been selling the Vengestone from the Mines of Shintaro, Cole says, "Well, it ends now!"

He was also sleeping as a baby in " Dead Man's Squall" and as a teenager in " The Gilded Path" and " The Weakest Link."

The beard is rather printed on his face and resembles his normal head without the beard piece with a much smaller, but still bushy, mustache and a tiny beard on his chin.
