Take a cruise up Loch Ness to take in the fabulous views where you can spot the romantic ruins of Urquhart Castle looming over the Loch. The vast sitting room is very warm and inviting with its cosy seating and cassette wood-burning stove built into the wall. It is partly open plan to the spacious dining kitchen that is very well-equipped and even has a warming drawer that is handy for warming up plates. A separate utility room neatly houses the laundry facilities and there is also a study and shower room on this level. Snuggle up on the sofa with a good book or enjoy a movie night on the TV, before catching your rest in one of two bedrooms. Lovely property with gorgeous views, had everything you need for a very relaxed stay wouldn't need to take anything other than your own clothes, the little touches like the teacakes left added a little something extra , Both Urquhart and Eilean Donan castles are within an hour's drive and are easy day trips from here. Or take a ride on the mountain gondola at Aonach Mor (20 minutes' drive) for spectacular views of Lochaber. The Great Glen Hostel is a great base for outdoor enthusiasts too: hillwalkers are spoilt for choice with 59 Munros in a 20 mile radius of the hostel, and paddlers can enjoy the rivers Spean, Garry, Roy and Moriston, all within easy reach. Watersports enthusiasts can paddle or sail on Loch Lochy and Loch Oich - boats and canoes can be hired locally. The Great Glen Way, a bike and hike route between Fort William and Inverness, is just a few minutes' walk away.

Save time, save money!

Each of the luxurious guest rooms are traditionally and individually furnished. Featured in every room is a TV, telephone, and a full private bathroom. Many of the rooms also have views of the Loch. Only slight downside we were unable to get a taxi to Spean Bridge as no companies went as far as the house and there were no takeaways, but we made the most of the kitchen in the house instead of eating out. A short trip north and you will reach the banks of Loch Ness and the picturesque town of Fort Augustus; be prepared for a cruise on the Loch in search of the monster or if you fancy a bit more speed, take a trip on a rib boat. The house is 15 minutes from the Nevis Range Gondola system - perfect for skiing in the winter and mountain biking in the summer. Fort William which lies 20 minutes to the south is known as the Outdoor Capital of the UK and offers every possible activity from kayaking , white water rafting and climbing. We walked the local Munro hills and the apartment was the perfect place to recuperate at the end of an exhausting day. We intend to return as there’s so much more to do. Would definitely recommend. The apartment is fitted with a seating area, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a kitchen, a dining area, a safety deposit box and a private bathroom with a bidet, bathrobes and slippers. A dishwasher, an oven and microwave are also offered, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. At the apartment complex, units are equipped with bed linen and towels. Everything that we could possibly need was there and catered for. The home was a lovely location, with stunning views and enabled us to enjoy our first family holiday together. Facilities consist of everything you need, and the view was fantastic, you don’t need the TV just look out at the view. Would definitely stay there again. Very peaceful and quietStep into the bright and airy open-plan living space, where you can look forward to unwinding on the sofa following a long day or take a seat at the breakfast bar and chat to the designated chef, rustling up a tasty feast while utilising a range of modern appliances. Our only suggestion is the main front bedroom is massive with a lovely view, we think even though there is a king size bed in it, we feel it would benefit from having a much more luxurious bed which would suit such an amazing room. It feels very empty as a room with no TV or furniture apart from a swivel cuddle chair. This is by no means a complaint! It is a lovely place to stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone. We found the location great, just outside of Spean Bridge not far from Ben Nevis, Fort William, Fort Augustus or even Inverness is within reach. Guests are able to take a stroll in the extensive gardens or down to the private beach, which includes a jetty. The surrounding countryside is perfect for walking, cycling and fishing. The views are breathtaking, the property is beautiful, great hosts, literally they have thought of everything to make sure we was welcome, everything was provided for, it felt like we was at home, Other than food, there was nothing we needed, they even provided kitchen towels and toilet roll which was particularly pleasing."
