Over time, I thought my skin looked a little healthier, but I didn’t notice a huge difference overall. Balancing: aloe vera has a pH value close to that of skin, meaning its gel maintains and redresses our skin's pH levels when they're out of sync. Aloe vera gel's texture works really well as a primer: its hydrating and smoothing properties prepare our skin, for make up that looks matt and natural.

This also contains aloe water, which really worked well to keep my skin hydrated. I thought it was an interesting addition to this moisturizer.

You can whip an exfoliating, homemade, 100% natural mask to deal with any stubborn zones - elbows, heels, knees... Baby-soft skin guaranteed. Aloe vera treats acne thanks to its healing, anti-inflammatory, moisturising and antiseptic properties. Dab some aloe vera gel onto a spot, massage it in and repeat whenever necessary. This is great to use right before you put on makeup, because the matte finish acts as a light primer. Drying time was really interesting – I chose the one for normal/oily skin, so it has the dimethicone in it, which gives a matte finish once the product dries.
