How The Avett Brothers Kindled the Career of a Self-Published Author". GalleyCat. June 7, 2012. Archived from the original on June 5, 2014 . Retrieved July 10, 2014. Because I want to kiss her and make love to her and marry her and make her have my babies and I want it all to happen tonight.

Now, I could write out a play by play for you, but that would completely ruin your experience. And believe me when I tell you that there are moments in this book that will leave you breathless, as well as completely sobbing. There were a few surprises along the way too that were unexpected, unknown, and made me thank Hoover for writing such a beautiful piece of art. Because it was. Colleen Hoover is a word artist. This book was beautiful, tragic, heartbreaking, and made me feel a wide range of emotions. LOSING HOPE will sit along side HOPELESS as one of my all-time favorite reads. If you fell in love with HOPELESS, like so many others, you won't want to miss LOSING HOPE! Haunted by the little girl he couldn’t save from imminent danger, Holder’s life has been overshadowed by feelings of guilt and remorse. He has never stopped searching for her, believing that finding her would bring him the peace he needs to move on. However, Holder could not have anticipated that he would be faced with even greater pain the moment they reconnect. Hopeless was hands down one of the best books I have ever read. It touched me so profoundly and so irrevocably that I walked away a different reader. The story of Sky and Holder is not something that you ever forget – its uniqueness lies in the deep emotions that it makes us feel and in its inimitable writing style. It is truly the perfect book. Losing Hope is its sequel, written entirely from Holder’s point of view, but following the same storyline. It is not a book, however, that could or should be read without reading Hopeless first as several scenes are better understood with prior knowledge of Sky’s story, allowing this book to simply fill the gaps in the timeline and for Holder to finally tell his side of this timeless tale of love, courage and human endurance. I can’t say enough about this beautiful story. Holder’s story. It’s a story of love and survival and of shedding guilt and pain. It’s a story of finding hope. Overall, job well done Colleen Hoover, you are truly a gifted writer. Readers will love Dean's pov and live and love him even more if possible!Holder's life was never easy. For years he had been accusing himself for Hope's missing but it wasn’t his fault. He was a protective brother and he loved a lot his sister. He always knew that something was off with her as she was spending nights crying in his arms but he did his best to be there and strong for her. However she managed to break him with a selfish decision that she took. She left him alone and hopeless. While we suspected Holder’s feelings to be strong, we now find out how overwhelmingly intense they were from the moment he laid eyes on Sky. They love story is epic – it is the story of two young people who have cared for each other for over a decade and who are now drawn to each other all over again, like two magnets unable to fight the pull, the growing love between them healing their hearts and giving them the courage to face the impending truth. They are kindred spirits who might be falling in love with one another for the first time, but their hearts have known each other and have been connected for a very long time. “I’ve loved Hope since we were kids. But tonight? Tonight I fell in love with Sky.” Hoover, Colleen. "Fourteen Years. :0". Colleen Hoover. Archived from the original on May 10, 2014 . Retrieved July 10, 2014. What are the chances that the only two girls in my life I’ve ever loved... I’ve lost? It’s killing me piece by piece every single day.

a b "Self-published Colleen Hoover Talks Living the American Dream". CBS This Morning. May 20, 2013 . Retrieved July 10, 2014. The personalities of these two characters and the thoughts they possess are so vastly different; hearing them tell accounts of the same events is gripping. If you had read my review for Hopeless http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/... then you’ll get my comparison of the story to a puzzle that came without a box. I thought that it was “complete” by the end of the book but I was wrong. As for a review of the book, it was an incredibly easy read that can be devoured in one sitting and ends with a smile on the reader’s face. Daniel and Six are very likable characters, as are Quinn and Graham. The reader certainly roots for both couples, anticipating a happily ever after.

Revisiting such an emotional story from a different point of view was no small task, especially since we were left believing that no stone was left unturned in the storyline, but it truly deserved to be told again. From the first moment we hear Holder’s voice, we become aware that to truly understand the complexity of Sky’s reactions, we needed to witness Holder’s too. All the final puzzle pieces are set in place, making this story even more flawless. Holder has had more loss in his life than any young man should ever have to overcome. Losing his childhood friend left him burdened with guilt and regret, but losing his twin sister shattered his heart. “What are the chances that the only two girls in my life I’ve ever loved … I’ve lost?” Losing Hope took me through all the same emotions of Hopeless but they were magnified because every single thing that happened now carried the weight of the emotion you already knew from Hopeless PLUS the new emotions created by all the new things we learned in Losing Hope about Holder. Towards the end of the novel, a revelation's made where Holder finds out his mother knew who kidnapped Hope and withheld the information from him after she (along with Les) came across Hope and her aunt in a diner. That was a MAJOR hole in the story for events, because how would Hope not remember her aunt begging the other family not to tell anyone? It didn't make sense and was hard to buy when Hope had no recollection of anything from her past and she would've been old enough to remember that encounter, even if she was ushered in the vehicle at the time. I don't know, I had a hard time buying that among other details in the work. UtopYA Awards Winners Announced". My Bookopolis. Archived from the original on June 28, 2014 . Retrieved July 10, 2014.
