About this deal

A man named Adolphus Busch (part of the Anheuser-Busch brewing company, which would eventually own Lowenbrau) in 1876 was at the Philadelphia Centennial fair where he discovered the refrigerated train car. He realized that the refrigerated train cars were ideal at the time for transporting his products nationwide and began to do so immediately. His need for refrigerated train cars was so great, that he wound up starting his own train car company so that he could make and sell the refrigerated train cars instead of buying them. Lowenbrau is brewed in Munich, Germany, which makes it suitable to be sold during Oktoberfest, one of the world’s most popular beer festivals, as previously stated. The beer is more popular since it is one of just six accessible at the festival, and because it is served every year since 1810, when the festival first began (Wikipedia, 2019). Is Lowenbrau A Good Beer? This outstanding Helles style Lager is medium-bodied and full-flavored. Upfront you get sweet fruity aromas of pure honey and fresh apple, combined with tastes of creamy Malt and freshly baked biscuits. Typical of Helles-style beer, the flavors are bold but the bitterness is mild. Lowenbrau was first brewed in 1810 by the Lowenbrau brewery in Munich. The beer was a favorite of King Ludwig I, and it soon became one of the most popular brands in Germany. The brewery was acquired by Bavaria in 1872, and Lowenbrau became the official beer of the Bavarian state. Lowenbrau Lowen Weisse is only one of two wheat beers in the Lowenbrau range and offers an ABV of 5.2%. Upfront you get lovely aromas of fruit, yeast, and wheat. These aromas are followed by tastes of banana, soft notes of malt, and wheat. The finish is sweet and dry with low levels of hoppy bitterness. This beer is medium-bodied with medium carbonation and is light golden with a solid medium white head. I was surprised the first time I tried the Lowenbrau Lowen Weisse. It is a satisfying and refreshing wheat beer, particularly when consumed ice-cold on a hot summers’ day.Lowenbrau Urtyp is a Dortmunder Lager that has been combined with a Helles Lager style beer that offers an ABV of 5.4%. Upfront you get delectable aromas of herbs, spice, and roasted malt, elegantly combined with tastes of rich malt, creamy toffee, and caramel. Additional flavors of floral hops, spice, and herbs are followed by a malty yet bitter and dry finish. There is so much going on in this beer, you may need two or three to wrap your head around the flavors and aromas. It is light amber with a solid and frothy white head.

This dark, strong beer specialty from Munich is spicy, aromatic, and powerful in taste. The Triumphator is the brew of choice when power is needed, echoing the tales of the once "strongest man in Bavaria," Steyrer-Hans. This strong, dark beer is both aromatic and powerful. Löwenbräu is a great German beer known for being smooth with a subtle, pleasant, slightly sour aftertaste. Friends who prefer to drink ales seem to quite like Löwenbräu. Having tried a range of Perfect Draft lagers, I have to say that Löwenbräu is one of the best. How much alcohol is in Lowenbrau beer? This dark lager was once a popular choice for those looking for a beer with a bit more flavor, but it is no longer in production. The company ceased production in 1991. There are a number of beers that are no longer in production, for a variety of reasons. Sometimes a beer is discontinued because the company decides to focus on other products, while other times a beer might be retired because the ingredients or brewing process is no longer available.Löwenbräu's beer portfolio is a symphony of flavors and experiences. Whether you're in the mood for a non-alcoholic beer after a workout, a robust Dunkel to end a hard day, or an Oktoberfestbier for a celebration, Löwenbräu has you covered. Each beer - Löwenbräu Original, Radler, Triumphator, Urtyp, and Weisse - is brewed with the same commitment to quality and tradition, offering a unique taste experience. A Löwenbräu beer is more than a drink; it's a testament to German culture, a slice of history, and a journey through the flavorful heart of Germany. The original Lowenbrau brewery was destroyed in World War II, but the brand was resurrected in the 1970s. Lowenbrau is now brewed by the Miller Brewing Company in the United States. Lowenbrau Premium Pils (formerly “der Lowenbrau”) is full-on flavor and full-on sharp hoppy bitterness and certainly lives up to its name as a Premium Pilsner. Upfront you get tastes of yeast and hops, followed by a long bitter, and satisfying finish. Lowenbrau Premium Pils is a great beer, with a soft white head, medium carbonation, and an ABV of 5.4%. To stay competitive in a global market, Löwenbräu merged with another Munich traditional brewery, Spaten, in 1997. In 2004, the Spaten-Franziskaner-Löwenbräu group became part of InBev, the world's largest brewing company.
