About this deal

It goes without saying really, but these Cadbury Mini Egg brownies are ideal for Easter for so many reasons: Condensed Milk – Half a can of sweetened condensed milk – about 200 g or 7 oz. Do not confuse condensed milk with evaporated milk, which is a completely different product. The standard can is 395 g / 14 oz in the UK, the USA and Australia. Alternatively, make a double batch. Either way, there’s no waste!

I tried this recipe with some baking powder, and it does work and make it more fluffy, but personally I wanted a denser and more gooey cake. You can add in 1/2 tsp of baking powder, but its entirely optional. I used self raising flour as I preferred it to plain, and then thats enough raising agent for me. The measurements are a difficult thing I find because peoples versions of ‘one tablespoon’ can vary in weight SO VERY MUCH so I have put weights as well. 15g is typically a level tablespoon weight, so don’t do heaped.. it might not turn out as good!Depending on your stove, you might need to use a diffuser ring for a gentler heat. You must not boil the mixture. If it gets too hot, the chocolate can seize and separate which will ruin the fudge.

It is vital that you go slowly because you do not want the mixture to boil. It if does, the chocolate will spoil. So, you end up grabbing a box of that instant pudding on the shelf, not even the cooked kind because we cannot be bothered. Are we right? Hey, we totally understand but this recipe is going to change all that forever. Try our homemade pudding or berry and peach pudding tart and say goodbye to the boxed pudding version forever. Make sure that your batter is ready to be put in the microwave as soon as the microwave is done preheating because the microwave will only retain that temperature for 10mins. Once you’ve put the cake pan inside, you need to do the entire process again. Set the microwave on the convection mode, set your temperature and this time you also need to fix your time. This recipe is adaptable, with no need for any special equipment. Make it in a saucepan, slow cooker or microwave. The recipe is totally fool-proof, which means that this is a great candy recipe for beginners, with full instructions.Pour into a mug. As it’s a microwave mug cake, make sure you are pouring the batter into a microwave-safe mug! Cut the fudge into squares (it helps to have a big heavy knife here). The sugar shells of the mini eggs will have softened and they will now be easy to cut through. Keep your Easter mini egg fudge in a covered container in the fridge until you are ready to eat. You don’t even need a baking pan to set this fudge in. I use plastic takeaway trays, which are the perfect size for a small batch. If there are one or two lumps that still have not melted, keep stirring it outside the microwave to melt the last few pieces in the residual heat of the bowl. Now if you’re making a chocolate cake, you have to ensure that you are using the best chocolate that is available to you. The quality of chocolate that you use really determines the flavor of the cake.

Flour - Again, I have only made this recipe with all-purpose wheat flour. I'm not sure about gluten-free substitutions, but if you use one and it works, please, let us all know in the comments below. Okay, I get asked this a lot too and the reason why this mug cake is made without any eggs is because that is what makes it have a spongey texture! You can, but I tested it with self-raising flour and it just came out spongey and not the texture I wanted. The ingredient list features all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, oil, yogurt, vanilla, salt, baking powder, and milk. How to make a chocolate cake in a microwave –
