EXPLORE Historic England When I'm 70, I want to marry my son's smoking hot girlfriend and screw her in my ex wife's home with both of them present. <- That is pretty much the tone of the entire book, but with a British accent ;). Sure, there are some bits about interesting technology but it's mostly about rich families being awful people. And the ending was terrible because it suddenly ended on a soppy note, leaving me with a ‘WTF did I actually read!’ The reason why I got this book out was because of the title, and when someone old is given a second chance at life in a younger body, the hope would be not to screw up! (And low and behold Jeff royally screws up).

Set around 2040, it describes the story of Jeff Baker, an inventor who revolutionises the world by creating the ultimate method of information storage and, instead of selling it, offers it open source. Because of this act, he is chosen as the candidate for the first use of rejuvenation technology which leaves him with the body of a young man. Hamilton forms a picture of a famous man with a troubled family, living in a troubled Rutland, England – also Hamilton's home county. This is very much a character driven story and focuses on the effects that Jeff's rejuvenation has on his family. Make it easier for young people to access and progress in their careers – especially the most disadvantaged. The characters too are utterly unlikeable, so much so that it took me a while to even get into this.Ensure that curricula are inclusive, allowing people with different abilities to achieve their best.

If all truants had access to charities like The Learning Challenge, which runs intensive classes for truants, enough money would be saved to pay for an extra teacher in every UK secondary school.

Jeff and Annabelle both attend a controversial EU conference in London so Jeff can speak supporting the EU. Tim and his friends join a massive and violent protest in the streets below the conference. As the riots begin, concerned for Tim's safety, Jeff changes his mind about supporting the EU and leaves the conference to charge through the riots to find his son. Impressed by this act, Tim finds it in him to forgive his father and Annabelle. You probably knew you can get McDonald's Apprenticeships. Did you know you can also study for a FREE Management Degree? EXPLORE NCFE Vocational QualificationsJeff's son Tim is shown to be the President of the Commonwealth in approximately 3595 in A Night Without Stars, book 2 of The Chronicle of the Fallers. Jeff and Annabel begin a torrid affair, then later after being caught in the act by Tim, embark on a trip around the world, seemingly to bonk one another senseless and experiment in group sex. Instead, a personal love-triangle in a messed up, modern, family becomes not only the primary focus of the book, but pretty much the whole book. In the end, when the medical rejuvenation, predictably, fails spectacularly you're left with the feeling that a lot of interesting themes have passed at a distance from the main narrative. It's a curiously empty feeling. All of this is bad enough, but the thing I hated most about this book was the main character. In contrast to the other Commonwealth novels, the characters in this book are some of the most hateable people you would ever want to meet. The main character, Jeff, is the biggest piece of shit with no redeeming qualities. If you knew him in real life, you would either get in a physical fight with him, or would have to stop associating with him. If the rest of this book was any good, he would be one of the better villains of all-time. The problem is that this book is terrible, and he isn't supposed to be a villain. The whiny teenage son, the trophy wife, the slutty girls and the newly nympho scientist all make for hard going. The only likeable character is an aunt who makes a few appearances.
