Before handing the frame over to Francisco, she makes him swear that he will include a photo of the two of them. He agrees, but the frame has other plans for him. The photo of Sophia and him is replaced with another of the strange blonde woman in a different setting. Francisco has something to hide and is terrified that the woman in the photo is trying to communicate that she knows.

I saw many influences in the first installment of the Morbid Curiosities collection: Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe, The Twilight Zone, Supernatural, and Guy DeMaupassant's short story "Was It a Dream?" Holy s**t, this one starts with a brief introduction to the characters and then BAM, right into the gore and action! I won't look at my camera the same way again, thanks a lot Aron!

Like I said – the world is turning into a place I don’t understand. As a parent, it is scary to think that my child might someday be susceptible to this, and even scarier to think of the things I can’t even imagine that will come across his path. Wow, this book is a game changer for Aron Beauregard. I feel like it’s equally as important as his seminal release The Slob, if not a tad bit more so simply for the fact that it has had more “mainstream” success and appeal. I have to wonder what motivates a writer. I admire the stretch of his imagination and where he take us as readers. He finds evil in everyday things, which I guess evil can be found anywhere we choose to place it. I’m excited to read about Mia’s journey, which is the next in the series. These days, people can say and do just about anything, because they have the ‘right’? Bullshit! We are doing more harm than good. If a kid calls an adult an asshole because they couldn’t get their way, they need to be taught how the world really works. I’m not saying beat them to death (almost certainly not), but if they are not held accountable, they will only get worse. What will demotivate them?
