The orange azalea, by nature, prefers to be in the shade. It is a plant that blooms best when it’s planted out of direct light. How big does a Gibraltar azalea get? Start by removing weeds and grass within a metre of your desired planting hole, then dig a square hole as deep as the root mass and approximately 2x as wide.
