The Orient Mako II features the Orient Caliber F6922 automatic movement, which is an in-house movement developed and produced by Orient Watch Co., Ltd. This movement is highly regarded for its accuracy and reliability, as well as for its value for money. Orient offers a diverse collection of watches, including Orient sports watches, Orient diver watches, skeleton watches, and collections for both men and women. Their Orient Mako Automatic collection features professional-grade diver watches that can withstand water up to 200 meters. For women, Orient has a unique collection of elegant and beautiful watches that are both fashionable and robust. Avoid setting the date on your F6922 watch within the hours of 8:00pm to 4:00am. In Orient Watch USA’s own words Around the outer edge of the dial, it has an angled chapter ring on which the seconds markers are printed which is blue as well. There are two faces to know if you’re searching for a Mako in a sea of Orient watches. There would also be variations of a single model mainly the regular version and the USA version. So, you’ll probably see a Mako and a Mako USA, as well as a Mako II and a Mako USA II. So what sets these versions apart from each other and from other Orient watches? 1. Look

To me, the end result looks like Orient was going for a polished look but decided to cheap out halfway. I would have just preferred that the entirety of the case was brushed. It would also help to bring out the dial by keeping the case more subtle. Also, the way in which the bracelet’s endlinks meet the case is done so well to the point where the bracelet becomes an organic expression of the case and vice versa. I’ve handled other pieces before when the bracelet was nice and the case was nice – but when they were together they just weren’t jiving. That’s not what’s happening here with the Orient Mako II – there’s magic where case and bracelet meet. Surely, you’ve heard of Orient. The brand — often deemed as one of the most affordable automatic watches — offers timepieces that are worth every penny. Safe to say that Orient is every collector’s entry-level automatic. The brand offers a bunch of choices that overall almost never disappoints. You will always end up with a trusty mechanical watch without spending a fortune. And one of the most celebrated Orient watches should be the Mako. Every collector, old or new, recognises the Orient Mako as an affordable choice for a diving watch. All in all, it’s safe to say that the Orient Mako II FAA02002D9 is a classic dive watch that offers superb value for money. With all of the things above in mind, this is one of the most competitive dive watches in its price range. Still, I can’t help but smile each time I use it and it’s become one of the more distinctive features of the older Orient Makos. I should also mention that although Orient doesn’t test the watch per ISO 6425 standards, the Mako still provides 200 meters of water resistance and that’s more than enough in my book. Orient’s Mako II is also more accurate than its predecessor. The original had an accuracy with -25/+35 seconds of variation per day, which was largely considered unacceptable. The Mako II, however, has an accuracy of -15/+15 seconds of variation – a huge improvement. And actually great accuracy for a mechanical watch, especially one with such an affordable price tag.

The USA II has drilled lugs, IIRC the Kamasu does not. For regular strap changes this might make your life easier. The Mako II is a diver’s watch so it is obviously water-resistant – imagine how useless it would be otherwise! The Mako 3, also known as the Kamasu, represents the most recent generation of Orient Mako watches. Like its predecessors, the Mako 3 has a 41.5-mm case that is water-resistant to 200 m (20 bar, 656 ft). It also features the caliber F6922, the same movement found in the Mako 2. However, Orient has also made some significant changes. These include the use of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and the design of the dial, bezel, and hands. Instead of sword hands, these watches have arrow-shaped hands with a luminous second hand. The second hand on first and second-generation Makos doesn't glow in the dark, making it difficult to tell if your watch is working properly under poor lighting conditions like those experienced underwater. For divers, this can be a matter of life and death. The FAA02002D9 is of course water-resistant. In fact to 200m/660 feet. This means it is suitable for both diving and swimming. Dial The bracelet of the Mako II features a combination of brushed and polished elements. The sides of the links are polished and the tops are brushed, giving them a matte look. The same goes for the case – the top of it is matte brushed while the sides are high polished. And even though the finishes are different, the transition between them is seamless.

This problem has been fixed with the release of the Orient Mako II which features an Orient F6922 calibre. Contrary to the above poster, the bracelet on the Mako USA II does taper, but it only goes from about 22mm to 20mm. Not sure why they said it doesn't as it's got a clearly visible taper from the endlinks. The Miltat/Strapcode bracelets for the Ray/Mako/Kamasu taper from 22 to 18mm at the clasp I believe, but none of the bracelets fit the Mako USA.
