In my opinion, these painter’s mitts are great for saving time on ROUNDED edges but don’t work as well as say a roller or brush on flat surfaces. Most advice that starts with “no sanding needed” will often recommend sanding anyway if the surfaces you are painting are in poor condition. Sometimes the amount of sanding needed is minimal and can be omitted altogether, but end results do have a habit of advertising our attention to detail. Sanding staircase spindles and bannisters is always recommended. These are multi-layered, lined gloves. The outside is a soft, lint-free material and the inside is lined with a plastic to prevent your hand from getting paint or stain on it.

The elasticated cuff on the mitt has just the right amount of tension so it won’t slip off, but it doesn’t feel overly tight either. Eggshell is named for its smooth eggshell finish. With that being said, I’m not saying that the 350 GSM will be inferior when it comes to cleaning performance. While the 600 GSM wash mitt is best suited for buffing and drying your car, the 350 GSM will do a better job of cleaning glass, wheels, and general cleaning purposes.
