About this deal

Therapeutic mouthwash, which is used to treat conditions such as plaque, tooth decay, and gingivitis, may include active ingredients such as fluoride, hydrogen peroxide, and essential oils. Over time, fluoride and hydrogen peroxide lose their potency, which makes them less effective at whitening your teeth, improving your oral health, and preventing cavities.

If you think there has been an overdose, call your poison control center or get medical care right away. Be ready to tell or show what was taken, how much, and when it happened. Clinical effectiveness and safety of Paroex have not been established in children under the age of 18.

Precautions

Serious allergic reactions, including fatal anaphylaxis, reported rarely with topical chlorhexidine preparations used on the skin (e.g., solutions, washes, sponges, swabs), including OTC topical preparations. The cap on the original container of chlorhexidine can be used to measure the 15 mL (½ fluid ounce) dose of this medicine. Fill the cap to the ``fill line.'' If you do not receive the dental rinse in its original container, make sure you have a measuring device to measure out the correct dose. Your pharmacist can help you with this. Rinse your mouth with the solution after brushing your teeth as directed by your doctor, usually twice daily (after breakfast and at bedtime).Measure 1/2 ounce (15 milliliters) of the solution using the supplied measuring cup. Swish the solution in your mouth for 30 seconds, and then spit it out.Do not swallow the solution or mix it with any other substance. After using chlorhexidine, wait at least 30 minutes before rinsing your mouth with water or mouthwash, brushing your teeth, eating, or drinking.Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it at the same times each day. It may take up to 6 weeks to see the full benefits of using this medication.Tell your doctor if your condition lasts or gets worse. side effects

Drug interactions may change how your medications work or increase your risk for serious side effects. This document does not contain all possible drug interactions. Keep a list of all the products you use (including prescription/nonprescription drugs and herbal products) and share it with your doctor and pharmacist. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicines without your doctor's approval. overdose Use this medication for the full prescribed length of time. Your symptoms may improve before your gingivitis is completely cleared. Paroex will not treat a viral or fungal infection such as cold sores, canker sores, or oral thrush (yeast infection). Rinse your mouth with baking soda: Similar to saltwater, baking soda may also help treat oral thrush. Mix ½ teaspoon of baking soda in a cup of warm water and gargle the solution in your mouth. To date, Sunstar said, 29 adverse reactions have been reported related to this recall. Affected patients tested positive for B lata infections, typically found in sputum cultures while under treatment for other serious medical conditions. Use of the contaminated product on patients with pre-existing respiratory conditions, including those infected with COVID-19, is particularly unsafe. The deterioration of mouthwash ingredients may even cause the plastic bottle to break down. This makes the expired mouthwash even riskier. All in all, any bottle of mouthwash that’s 2 to 3 years old, even if it’s within its expiration date, probably isn’t worth the risk. Go ahead and find a way to use it around your house or toss it.
