Described by Parfum de Marly as “ light, forceful and fresh“, Sedley is a woody fragrance that begins with a bang of mint and sweet citrus. This is a mature, yet fresh scent that you can wear all summer long. Now, as it starts to dry down… some creamy vanilla and a touch of powdery tonka bean join the party and morph beautifully with the opening. Presented in the classic style Parfums de Marly bottle with mid-blue coloured bottle, silver cap and the dual rearing horses logo. The performance of Galloway is very good with sillage creating a 4-5 feet trail, and standing projection is 3-4 feet. A very long-lasting fragrance at 7+ hours.

Herod is unisex but leans masculine and is best worn in the fall and winter (cool spring nights). Avoid the summer as this gets cloying in the high heat. Carlisle is an EDP and projects more than arm’s length for the first 2 to 3 hours, then becomes more subtle but wafts around for a solid 7 to 10 plus hours. But let's face it – you can read about fragrances all you want but there comes a time you need to try them.

The total composition lasts on my skin about 6-8h. Considerable for a summer fragrance. The beauty of it is that one never takes the place of the other. Fresh citrus, gentle spicy lavender and delicate wood occur in its symbiosis.

Oajan is a luxurious, warm, spicy and slightly sweet masculine oriental fragrance. Released in 2013, Parfums de Marly has crafted an elegant and sophisticated gourmet fragrance with incredible performance and crowd-pleasings properties. More suited for the mature 20-up crowd. Dressed up, dressed down, work, casual, dates, special occasions, nights out. To be clear, Habdan is an EDP and doesn’t scream out for attention. You get about 2 to 3 hours of just over arm’s length projection – with a gorgeous scent trail. It then sits closer to the skin for about 6 to 8 hours plus. I really loved the opening of Sedley while I owned it. Or at least the first hour and a half (I guess that’s more than just the opening). It does a nice job of blending Aromatic spices that feel lively and crisp with a touch of sweetness. It uses ambroxan well, imo and it gets some warmth and dimension from it.This one is quite polarizing. So for this reason, I would highly suggest you don’t jump into a blind buy. My Advice? Galloway is super versatile: unisex, all seasons, all occasions (but performs best in the spring/summer). Now, as it settles down… the mint becomes slightly more prominent (but never gets too minty), and is joined with a soft lavender and a pinch of rosemary. Super Fresh & Clean

It has a rich dark warmness and it smells incredibly luxurious. People will want to know what you’re wearing. Just as the name indicates, Layton Exclusif is a more exclusive (and expensive) version of Layton– that takes the fragrance in another direction. Godolphin is an EDP and projects just over arm’s length for the first 2 hours then becomes more subtle… lasting up to 8 plus hours.Dressed up, dressed down, work, office, special occasions, dates, nights out, clubbing (great for the club), you name it… Parfums de Marly is named after “Château de Marly,” a French royal residence that once stood near Versailles. As for when to wear, with its fruity/leather combo Godolphin feels more autumn/winter, perhaps edging into early spring. In all honestly, Godolphin smells so good I would wear it in the summer too but more as an evening scent. Percival is a fresh, versatile fragrance with a surprising woody base. It's a clean, modern fragrance that is reminiscent of the ocean. We'd describe this as likable, familiar and versatile. A couple of sprays of Percival and you're going to get compliments.
