I’m honestly so tired of this. If you’re happy with Pentax, great. Just don’t tell me I’m not original because I prefer equipment from a larger manufacturer. And don’t tell me I’m not a proper photographer either. As if you can decide for me what my goal should be, or something like that.

You can get an older Pentax camera that actually has all that and more (astrotracer, AA filter simulation) for much less than a modern camera from another brand. But in the present day, the niche isn't so big anymore. It's still there for some applications, but the others are increasingly capable of doing what Pentax has done for years, but with better autofocus (apparently the K-3 III still trails the D500) and video, and more new lenses - also from third parties. Meanwhile, Pentax itself doesn't seem to bring that much to the table in terms of new features.

They will not compromise this just for few users who want an upgrade to K-70. The Automatic Position Adjustment function is fixed at the OFF mode when the Interval or Interval Movie shooting mode is selected. It may not be possible to use this function in all cases, depending on the subject’s status and pattern, and/or the angle of view and focal length of the lens used. The user shall not directly or indirectly export all or a portion of the licensed software without obtaining the necessary permission from the Government of Japan or the governments of the relevant countries. After putting the new KF through it’s paces I was surprised that the images I captured were on par with those I’ve made throughout the years with my aging K5. And the autofocus capabilities were equally fast and precise. I guess that’s to be expected from a more recent camera, but the old K5 still compares favorably on a variety of parameters to other more modern models.
